checking it out
After seeing 02WS6Bird get some responses I though I would check it out too. Currently I am a 23 year old Marine expecting to get out in appx. 7-8 months. I thought I would check and see if there is any kind of job market out there right now. I served as an aviation mechanic for five years. Mainly diesel mechanics. I have done a lot since I have been in. Just to name a few I blasted and painted, run forklifts, operate 8 1/2 ton wheel mounted cranes, etc etc. I also have a lot of experience in the paperwork running maintenance side of the house which is what I am currently doing now. Don't expect too great of a response due to time I'm still going to be in. Just curious. Any questions feel free to ask and thanks for any help. Sorry post is so long.

Semper Fi,
I work for a company that sells surplus commcerial aviation parts.
We are located right by O'hare.
I am an engine records analyst for them.
Look me up when you get out.

I got out in Sep '02. Keep an open mind and be flexable. I was on terminal leave when I got hired on the railroad. Started out low in my book but now I am 60k+ a year. Not too shabby. I live much more comfortable than I did as a Cpl at Lejeune. Harley in garage, wife's car paid for, Jeep Gr. Cherokee paid for, '02 ws6 making payments.

yeah I am hoping that wouldn't happen. I am just an air winger so hopefully I wouldn't see too much. I'm probably just going to get out and enjoy life a little. What really sucks is the whole 5 years I have been in my car has still been in Illinois so I will just be happy driving my baby again. After of course all the parts I have bought have been put on.
