How are the cops these days with 20 or 30% tints?

How are the cops these days with 20 or 30% tints?

I am thinking of getting 20% on the Formula, but do you guys think the cops around Strats or Steak and Shake would give me a hard time? I can just do 30% like I have on the TL.

I have 5% all around and have no problems, but I don't live in chicago area and don't know how the cops are there. I would say 20% would be fine.

they won't pull you over jsut for that(unless they are having a relly bad day) and should not give you a ticket unless you are being an ***.

it's a probable cause stop in chicago (like the cell phone law). I would only worry in a suburb for tints. Half the cars in black/hispanic neighborhoods have em.

How does the tint percent work again? the lower the percent the darker the tint right? or do I have that backwards?

Thanx I always wondered. Never payed to much attention down here. We tell them we want tint and they just make it dark lol

I've got 15% on mine and have never had a problem. I had 5% on my Talon and got stopped once.

I don't know anyone that has gotten pulled over for tint but they love to tack it on if they do pull you over... its not a moving violation, so if you can pay the tickets who cares ?

It's better if you have t-tops, cause some light will shine in and make them appear lighter. You supposed to be able to see from one side of the car through to the other side for them to be legal...But most guys dont give a ****.
