Default Chicago based LS1 ?

hey, i didn't know where to post this...but long story short---i got called out for a $$street race with a guy who i've never met--(over the net)...and to kinda get an idea of what kinda potential his car has, i mentioned something about the fastest ls1 around chicago, as well as some other cars. He wrote back something about-he hopes im not talking about the king "skin", because he would rape "skin's" LS1 on the street. Does anybody know anything about this person, and or what times does he approximately run? Thanks a million!

well, just make sure you set your ground rules straight. most guys are always trying to scam you, seldom do guys who are confident in putting up money tell you the whole story.

i would do it at a scc or rsd event so the cheating is minimized.

here's a ttt

Skin is a short skinny black guy from the Southside, mostly a Doty racer. I know a few cars that he drives. I don't think that any of them are stock, but he is not the fastest LS1 in Chicago for sure.

Not sure who your talking about, but there are some guys here in Jackson, MS that where trying to get me to bring my car to Chi-town and race on the street. I have heard stories that there was a black guy who was pulling the left front on the street. If that is true he must have one hell of a suspinsion. There is a black 00 SS that a friend of mine sold to a guy around the New Orleans area that is running in the low 9's at the track. I know that he is also a big street racer. They where trying to get him to come up and race as well.

pulling a tire on the street is no big deal dude. people prep the roads around here until its like being at the track. i know lots of people, including myself, that have picked up the front tires on the street.

The streets must be a hell of alot better in the north. it is hard to hook on the tracks here when the humidity is in the 90%-100% range all summer. I tried shooting a 200 shoot on 28X10.5 et drags from a roll and still spun through first on the street.

Shounds like you all have alot more fun street racing up there than we can get away with here in MS. To many ricers!!!!

john please, that was 5 years ago at this point with our lt1, which was a cam only 10 bolt junk pile you barely beat. timmy has owned 6 different cars since then that would clip your ET while you are still working on this one. and yes his car will pull a tire from a roll, we'll bet on that, too if you want

evo killer, congrats you are whats wrong with street racing, you won't gamble and look for a crutch on the internet.

bkhawk, nah scene is not the greatest anymore, just a few guys that know how to prep a road around here lol.

John,

I gave you 2 cars with a cam only LT1 and you had a heads and cam LS1 on the gun.

John, if I keep my car I will put the Direct Port on it and I will make it look like your car is driving in reverse .

oh look at that, car with half the money in it went 2 tenths faster than john's car on a 150 shot only.

what a shocker, kind of reminds me of everything else we've built in the last 5 years, too.
