Talking How did everyone do @ 41 today

Just wondering how everyone did today at 41. In case you didnt know I was the lonely Formula picked up at Lincoln Oasis. I'm also the same idiot that tried to do a burnout with the TCS on!

Anyway here are my times much better than expected and not bad for a lid and catback only w/ 273 gears.

My best pass

Reaction - 1.1
60ft - 2.090
1/8th mile et - 8.756
1/8th miles mph - 82.86
1/4 et -13.518
1/4 mph - 103.24

I think I could have gotten into 13.2 - .3 but my tires were absoloutely melting and I kind of need them .

But I gues not too bad for my first time , how did everyone else do ? better worse expected?

my times were...eh ok, i spose, for a stock clutch and street tires, i fried the clutch on every launch, and every time i hit second the tires broke loose for a second or so,after 3 runs i decided to keep whatever is left of my clutch to make it home o.o

best run was 14.5@101mph with a 1.5 second reaction, second best was a 14.75@102mph with a .85 reaction, and the third run was my first and doesnt count :p

still had fun tho, by next year il be ready with a good clutch, and drag radials

and if memory suits me, its Morocco, NHRAFormy

well you would have laughed your *** off watching my first run doing a burnout with the traction control on then messing up the staging and going anyway. I felt like a fool but I'm sure everyone has track horror stories.

Cephiros were you the second to last person in the caravan? I think I was right behind you, if so your car is beautiful! But I think I am addicted to the track now, I may have to scrap alot of my other plans for performance parts and some tires that wont melt to pencil erasers after 6 passes

I know I saw BAD S Z28 and OctanZ28s car but couldnt find them to say hello

Also I ran against #72 with an ls1tech sticker on the window? Who is that that is a nice z28

hey dont feel bad man, i was sitting in the pit area and turned my car on after it was already on , and this was recent sooo...oh and cant forget the oh soo memorable time i went sideways barreling towards the other car ! johnny did they same thing that day , dont feel bad, as a matter of fact get over it , you'll never have a day at the races where something stupid doesnt happen, but you did damn good for a beginner

you mean like overshooting the staging area, then stalling out and ahving to wait for them to reset the run to go again?
hehe

and yes, that was me right in front of you, thanks for the complement

as for the ls1tech stickers, i saw a handfull of cars with them......all in the same exact spot, ironically

and is morocco like the town that time forgot or is it jsut me?

i went to find some fast food and nowhere inthe town was *anything* modern, the most modern place i found was a semi run down moble station a mile or so from the track..i ended up getting some snacks there.

i plan on going to the track around here for test once ones i get a new clutch in and drag radials, i should be breaking 12's right now...just barely, but still, gm clutches suck *****

Getting video taped for the internet in front of a cround while attempting a burnout with TCS ON = PRICELESS. That was the only and last time I was going to let that happen to me. I bought the SLP deal that turns the TCS off when you start the car up, so you do not have to remember to turn it off. Great investment.

WOW what a great turnout! 101 cars!!

I didn't set a new best, but posted 6 runs of 12.1 @ 110, so I was still having fun out there!

For those that ran the shootout, I was the one by the staging lanes sending people out and trying to organize the classes and cars and generally looking like I had no idea what the hell I was doing lol.

Nice to see alot of great cars and some fast numbers on the board today, was a great time!
Thanks to all who attended, we hope you all enjoyed yourselves!

MIM 7 in 2006 could be very interesting! Stay tuned
