that's a nice gto, man, i've seen a couple of your passes at irp this year. that's a wicked 60'! i'd love to get mine down around 1.62-5 again, but no luck yet on the no-prep race nights.

What about my run from several years ago, car number 117?

126,000 miles on an internally bone stock engine, still had stock valvesprings. ATI ProCharger D-1SC with 15 psi of boost. I had 4.10 gears and with my 28" tall M/T's, and I was on the rev limiter in 4th gear at the 1000 ft mark. I drove it on through that way... Too bad I hadn't had 3:73 gears that day!!! Bob

yes, i know...i had hopes again this week, but yet again.. how many test and tune nights have they ran this year? 1? it figures that i was busy that night. i never thought it would be so hard to hit a prepped 1/4 mile track. i can find 4 1/8 mile tracks within 45 minutes. but i have to drive to muncie on a street night otherwise to find a 1/4 mile prepped track. bah.

Ever been to US41 up in Morocco? That may be a bit of a drive, it's maybe two hours (North-Northwest) from Indy but they have good track prep even for low volume test and tunes, and they have lots of test and tunes.
I was there a few weeks ago, they had great traction IMO...shattered my POSI on the first "run".

no, i haven't been there...but i have read and contemplated going. it is closer to a 3 hour drive for me, which is a BIG deterrant. i don't want a replay of what happened to your car that far from home, ya know? i have access to a truck and trailer, but it would be a big hassle.
