My Check Engine light is on and I was wondering if anyone can just read what codes I'm throwing. I can't spend $70 to have my mechanic do it right now. I also have my emissions test in June, so I have to get rid of the code as soon as possible.
I'm in Lake Zurich, but let me know if anyone can help me out. (I'll come to you)

My schedule is usually pretty messed up, but if you can't get an Autozone to help you out, I'd scan it for you (assuming it's a '96+ GM car). I'd even try to meet you somewhere in the middle to make it easier, maybe something like the Mt. Prospect area?

Give me a call and I'll see what I can do. My snap-on scanner is only good to 99 but I can probably lie to it and get them cleared for you.
