its doable with 5500 in parts as long as the guy knows what he is doing. He claims he is a total noob so I call bullshit on the entire thing. 9 Lengths on a Supercharged SS? In hell if he would have said it was close I'd believe it. Not a chance in hell that guy one against a Supercharged LS-1.

He needs to have a sub ten second car if he put 9 cars on a supercharged ls1. Even a slow supercharged ls1 is still an 11 second car.

Trust you me guys. This guy did give a mod list, and it would EASY be over 5500. This guy is so full of ****. GT35r spooling 25psi by 3500rpm's, LOL. That is what a E316g does. Screw that guy.

Once I get a few more funny posts on here, ill post this on that forum.

Luckly I have an account on those boards from when I was planning on buying my friends 92TSI... so quotes are directly from those boards.

He mixed his story up... started out saying it was a black SS, then changed it to white with 2 orange racing stripes... well... which one is it?? A race against a supercharged LS1 kinda sticks with you, you dont mix something like that up. Now if it were a turboed civic, yeah I could see mixing that up... not quite as thrilling.

Stock sure, but I dont find that to be much of a thrill when you buy a little econo car, put 20 grand into it just to beat a stock TA. They just spent 20 grand on a car to beat a car I paid 7500 for... let me put 5k into my car bringing the total up to 12500 and i'll run circles around them all day.

Plus factor in the two cars themselves. How often do you get to race a supercharged LS1 compared to a civic?

how the hell did you pull 20k out of your ***?? lol

a crx with a junkyard B18 and a small turbo could kick some ***
(could be done for 5-7k and will run low 12's)

I exhaderated anthony... but most ricers like their **** to look good as well(in a ricer's perspective)... add in the massive 8" fart can, triple stacked wing, quad hood scoop, the body kit only a true ricer would love, and ofcourse the paint and stickers that add 50hp each... not including the engine rebuild, forged internals, bigger injectors, the turbo itself, the intercooler, the exhaust work(goes along with the 8" fart can) and if youre a true ricer maaaaad nawz. sport all of this on their mad vtak(spelled wrong for a reason, Joe knows all about it ) engine and you've put more money into that car than its worth... all for what? the ability to beat a stock v8 that with just simple bolt ons could easily turn the tides in his favor again?

Not to mention most people favor the H22 over the B18 and swap out for it instead.

i wasn't talking about ricers... i was talking about tuners there is a diffrence...
also i was setting this up as a CHEAP way to go fast....H22 would cost more than a B18 but the H22 could power the same crx into the 12's NA still costing less than your car (the only reason your car was 7500 was because it has over 100k miles and was fucked up when you got it......Joes truck beat it)

H22 is not the popular choice. Swapping it into a civic is a pain.
B18B or B18C is the choice.
As far as Na, many guys would rather build a crazy LS/Vtec or again a B18C.
The kinda new but now old fad is the K20 in a civic hatch. Thats gonna put some good times down with the proper supporting mods.
And for your info BA98TA, I could build a SOHC turbo hatch for less than 6k(including the car, may not be pretty bit it'll get the job done) and scare the **** outta alot of V8 guys. 1900 lb car, it isn't hard to get it movin!

Theres no doubt in my mind you could. The 92 TSI I was going to buy scared the **** outta me, more than my TA does.

The turboed civic was just an example that was blown out of proportion.

I was trying to get the point across that you dont come across a supercharged LS1 every day. You'd have a better chance coming up against a Civic.

And if by chance you did come across a supercharged ls1, you wouldnt soon forget it.

There are a couple turbo DSM's that hang out with us in Columbus. Most of them are low 11 - 12 second cars at best and they put a lot of work into them. The only way that guy could pull off like that is if the the other guy missed 3rd completely. I should go to that site and write a kill story about the time I beat a vette on my bicycle
