Default new wheels for the z28. pics inside

heres two shots of the new wheels I'm putting on the z28
the z is pewter with black racing stripes so this these should look great!

american racing torque thrust II m black

17x9 for the front
17x10.5 for the rear

with 275 nitto all the way around.
DR in back
555 extreme in front

Hopefully in 3 weeks the car (ls1 undergoes surgery heads/cam and more) will be ready for the new wheels! Plus maybe less snow!!!

Nice. Pewter or Silver always looks nice with black wheels. I was torn between getting the black or the chrome ZR1s, and I picked chrome. But sometimes I still think about getting a set in black as well and switching off every so often.

Those things look sharp! Should look good on the car and go nice with that head/cam package.

Curious.

Why are you putting 275 nittos on a 10.5" wheel? I thought you would go with a bigger tire than that.

i thought about 315 but for a couple reasons I didnt.

the math, for every 25.4mm is on inch, yeah I would definitely gain with more tire on the ground with a 315 tire over a 275, but my car is lowerd and many people with a 315 tire have to roll the fender, something I dont want to do.
the next tires would be 305 which I might switch to later, or a 285 which doesnt give me a enough extra grip.

Plus 275 tires are cheaper then 315. Next year the wheels and tires will be for street and show, and I will have slicks/skinnies for the track!

What about 285's? 315's aren't the only option.

They look good though and will look great on car.

well im just curious but couldnt you have a set meade with a deeper backspace so you dont have to roll your fender? If thats possible thats what id do. Theres nothing wrong with having fatties out back thats what I want but I too dont want to mod my fender well

COOL! Those are fresh to DEATH! THEY look GREAT and easy to clean! That's my motto! TELL THE INSTALLER TO BE CAREFULL MOUNTING THE TIRES. THAT ALUMIUM IS EASY TO SCRATCH!
