Michigan tuner recommendations
#2
There is a tuner directly across the street from Katech. He used to own Vector MS (and may still) he tuned my car at another facility and he is known as one of the best when in comes to LSx motors. I highly reccomend him.

Sean at C.A.R.S.
I've heard horror stories of all the aforementioned shops in this thread. I've never heard anything bad about Sean, and would take any of my cars to his shop.

you will probably be fine with whomever you choose just understand that you can not legally go after a tuner in michigan if they screw up your motor unless they also built it. by using someone different then your engine builder to tune the motor you can't go after the builder either if something goes wrong.
if that doesn't bother you then anyone in michigan i'm sure will at least get you close as you don't have alot done it seems.
way too many horror stories from my own personal perspective and many others that i've known over the years which is why i went out of state.

I would say that being GMHTP used Livernois a bunch of times for LS-series power test, that says a little bit about them, the stuff they do there (from what i see) is top notch stuff I know i've already commented, but i have never met a bettter group of guys

magazines use whomever will give them the best deal...
regardless livernois works on alot of top notch projects along with wheel 2 wheel in troy so either one is definately a great choice.

I know at least three people that have used him and had GREAT results.
Livernios is much better with Mustangs than they are with F-Body cars. They specialize in Mustangs.
Good luck with whoever you use.

I went all the way to Texas, so LG Motorsports could do my car. Lou Gigliotti is the man and has a top notch group of techs doing the work. Everyone is very friendly and they stand behind their work. I never could get Kirk of Vector back on the phone after I tried to setup a date with him to re-tune my car before the headgasket failure. LG is picking up my car and taking it back to fix a failed headgasket. While its there I am getting a ported 90 mm FAST and NW 90mm tb. Hoping with the new parts and a retune to hit around 480 rwhp and 435 + rwtq. Sorry for being so long winded, just can't say enough good things about LG Motorsports. Worth the drive, you see so much in those 14 - 18 hrs on the road.

alternative specialiazes in mustangs. livernois just gets more people who have mustangs but they aren't any more familiar. every shop i'm sure has it's share of horror stories, just look up the background from where your tunner came from. a good majority of the people in this area are those who learned in their garage on internet forums. very few are from gm or learned from gm people.
if you built your motor yourself and it was inexpensive your probably not worried about your tune but i'd want my motor tuned from someone who has alot... alot of experience otherwise you might as well take your chance from any of them.
