What do I drive, a Kia?

I really figured there would be more cars, what with the cool weather and the Parkland show. I probably won't be getting mine out much unless I have something set up beforehand on the weekend nights. I get up early and my old *** isn't gonna stand around for 4 hours for nothing so I can go to bed late and do nothing but waste gas and listen to people bitch about there being no races when they won't race themselves.

If I gotta drive a zillion miles to find any cool spots I might just sell my car and buy a Z06 or something, put a dry shot on it and call it done.

yeah there were no races last night....no one even tried. there was only 2 fbodies up there at any given time. it sucked a small group of us cruised for a while but it was just dead everywhere.

I hate the "scene" here too.

Ha, I must have missed ya or something. It WAS cinco de mayo anyways, everyone was out gettin wasted I am usually too burnt out to really go out anywhere anymore. I think the best bet would be to do like cammarocarri did and just plan something a month or so ahead so people can take the time off from work or other things.
I only know a few fbody enthusiasts around here. Maybe we can plan something out at lake of the woods in Mahomet or something. Did anyone get any pics from the Parkland show?

I'm planning to have a get together soon, will be at my shop just outside of town.

I also plan to have a smaller one at my house as soon as I get some patio furniture.

I'm in Champaign now, but don't have the Camaro with me. I'll be back on June 11 for summer school, might have the SS with me. If so we definitly are gonna have to have a good place to chill.

Saw a nice black SS in Bloomington on Veterans Sunday afternoon. Anyone know who it is? Had the 10 stokes and at a quick glance I thought it had a different chin-spoiler.

Also spotted another red WS6 with a black WS6 style hood but with heat extractors like the Firehawks have (whatever it's called) at the Steak N Shake on Vernon yesterday late afternoon. Dont know who owns that one either but it looked very clean.

Twin City Cruisers.

Every 2nd saturday of the month they have a large cruise-in over in Bloomington-Normal. It use to be at the K's on Veterans, now its just a couple blocks up by Von Mauer. typically there is 200+ cars on a nice night. no cost unless its on a night your car could be shown (they do theme's each month) this saturday is Ladies night. starting approx 530, but people show up as early as 430 and stay as late as 1am or later.

I am forsure going, if anyone from here wants to cruise over together.

Thats me. It'll be sitting in the corner of that lot about 50 hours a week all summer. The hood is a WS9 from VFN and it'll be getting painted on Monday.

If the weather's nice I'll be out at the TCC meet on Saturday, black hood and all. Hope to meet up with some new people.

I'll be there with my GMC with the LS1 for sale in the back. If you know anyone intested in a low mileage LS1 long block, which has a LS6 shortblock let me know. Has a Thunder Racing cam, springs, and chromoly pushrods as well. Also have a used SLP driveshaft loop. Used it for about a month and then my custom torque arm cam with one at the relocation point. Bringing that to the show as well.
