Lol, well depending on how strict they are from the getgo will depend on if I can enter my car or not. A firesuit and up to date helmet I could borrow, and without them seeing the car run, they probably couldn't tell if it was running fast enough for a cage (roll bar) or 5 point harness. So maybe, I could still enter and then just get kicked out after I run quicker than an 11.49, but I would like to go even as a spectator.

Is there any place everyone will be staying to hang out the night before the event?

Sounds like someone needs to keep up with all the LTx threads in the LT1 section!

Lots of people are camping/hanging out at the track the night before. KCIR holds a T&T/Grudge night on Fridays.

I plan on going but I dought I will take a car. I drove over twice now and it sucks,Im thinking about flying...If my red cars done I would like to trailor it over so I can not worry about breaking something. Not that LT1 cars ever break....LOL

I want to go to the shootout also but doubt I take my car now that the baby is on the way. Maybe we can all ride over together and split the gas?

SPLIT GAS what for its so cheap...... I might ride their but only if I don't have to ride with JPH - the LSX road trip was the worst road trip ever. I wasn't allowed to drive at all and Joe wont speed at all.....

Joe isn't going, he can't handle LTx. His road trips consist of stopping at every titty bar on the way, he could turn a 6hour road trip into 2 days.

Joe, if I had anyone custom grind me a cam, it will be you. Its just that I already know what I want out of a cam, and TSP has it, all with a heads and cam package price that is about impossible to beat.

If I end up getting the heads I mentioned to you, I might at most have you grind me a cam that would be similar if not the same specs of the cam I am looking at from TSP.

ok buddy. Keep me in mind. Remember, don't let high RWHP/peaky numbers pick your cam selection, but basis it on an overall/actual true rpm band that you intend on using it for, that in return will produce you a very strong trq/hp number with a usuable power curve that will be in your intend diving style range, of about 75% of the time. Just another JPH cam tip for you bud.

For most cars and driveability you are correct. Keep in mind though I have had my fair share of aftermarket cams (this will be #4 for me), and I know what I want. The Formula will not have any suspension goodies, and I don't want the torque most good driving power making cams will give it. The TSP cam I am wanting is the exact power curve I want (not a ton down low, and a lot up top).

Like I said though, if I do go with a custom grind, your number will be the first I call.

Alright, I gave it one last shot. (trying to change your thinking) I will let pat and chad know to shift your car at 7200 and set your rev limiter to 7800. (just kidding)

Lol, not that high. TSP says they have taken it to 7200 before and it was still making power however they don't reccomend more than 6800 before shifting just to keep the abuse down.
