Joe, I may give you a call, I know you've got a good guy for cam spec'ing; my 224/230, .581/.591 is probably a little small for the new setup.[/QUOTE]
a good guy, hell blake thats me buddy. I come up with the specs. I've done enough now thru the years, I can pretty much tell you what the motor wants and needs.
N/A motors are my specialty, but Blown/N20 I can do also. I can make SMALL cam cars run with the BIG cam cars.
Just pm me specs of you motor and car, and I will tell you what you need. Right off the bat, you need to add atleast 8* more intake duration to your current profile.

make dyno queens out of them!
Big cams have there place, but 80% of the cars on this board don't need them. If you can make a small cam car run as fast as a big cam car, your doing something right and it will be alot better on the street as well.

Badass pics man. Thanks for being out there keeping our asses safe and free. ![Chug! Chug! Chug!](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_chug.gif)
I've got a few friends in Security Forces at the Fort Wayne base, they've been cool enough to get me on the flight line for some night flights a few times. Gotta love watching them take off in the dark.

edit: My LPE heads fell through (I'm really sick of people comitting to things and changing their minds at the last minute), but I just picked up a set of Stage III Vinci heads with some pretty good flow numbers. Should be more then overkill for my current little motor. I think I may need to step my cam up though.

My heads are LS6 243's, 59cc, 2.02 LPE ss valves/ 1.60 Inconel exhaust valves, ported, hand blended, 921 spring kit, etc etc. Very good flow numbers as well for their size.

Hey Ponyhntr, do you have all the info on the LTX shootout as far as rules and regulations and how strickly they will be enforced?
Moving back to Indiana will pretty much garuntee me available for the event, however my car has already gone 11.2 and I don't have a cage. Most places I have gone to don't really care until you hit the 10's, but I am already anticipating getting thrown out for that. I am more interested in finding out if they will require a fire suit for me having an aftermarket supercharger, and if they will look closely at my helmet and see it is expired.
I have been to both kinds of tracks strick and not strick, so I just want to see how much hassle to expect if I take my Z28 there.

The rules are there. Since this is a private track rental and not an event that the track or NHRA is putting on, the rules will be somewhat lax. BUT! That does not mean you can get away with some of the most basic saftey rules. You will be required to have a FIRE JACKET, as per NHRA rules. They are $50 from Summit, or you could even possibly borrow one.
