On to something more relevant to the bait shop, and less dramatic or queer....

Josh, you get your car running good yet? Last I heard you were working out some bugs or it had a miss in it. Any new news? I'm more anxious to see what that beast of yours is capable of once its dialed in than pretty much any other car this year (including my own).

No, not yet. Since I moved and don't have a heated garage anymore, and it's been cold as hell here, I haven't wanted to work on it much. I have a new ignition for it to try out, hopefully I can get working on it this weekend when it warms up.

You planning on having it all dialed in before the shootout?

I sure hope so! We have another 'Midwest Shootout' (put on by the Tosto brothers-of PINKS! fame) here in March I'd like to make, but don't know if that will work out or not. I'm hoping this ignition works out, but I'm not holding my breath.

Be patient and keep the faith. Anytime you do anything major like re-do the motor, or add a supercharger there's bound to be bugs to be worked out. You and I pretty much are the same in the sense we did both at the same time. It took me about a year after the my motor had been re-built and installed with the blower before I got all the little bugs worked out and I finally got it totally dialed in.

You'll get there as well, but just be patient and persistant

Hopefully you make it to your Midwest Shootout, but if nothing else, I really hope its good to go for the LTX shootouts. I can't wait to see that beast when it is all dialed in. It ought to make my car seem like a friggin' turd!

Are you still running the opti, or are you trying something else?

I'm pretty sure he's still running the opti. I've known a few other LT1 guys with a D1SC or larger try the Deltac with the LS1 coil packs and have had all kinds of issues. I know there are other options but, it should still work fine with the opti.

This is a problem I've been dealing with for about 3 years. Ever since I put a blower on the old motor. It wasn't apparent while N/A, but I found out that it did still do it, just couldn't feel it on the street. The blower magnifies it to a point to where you can REALLY feel it on the street, and it wants to throw itself off the dyno. The ONLY thing I havn't changed is the ignition box and coil.

Time to knock out the last two possible problem makers!

Are you still running the stock PCM? Or are you running a FAST?

Stock PCM. Stock opti also at this time, but it has also had a MSD Billet opti on it before.
