1/4mile tracks in Chicago area? Going out to chicago NW burbs(palatine) to visit family, are there any good 1/4mile tracks around this area except in Joliet? Going to be there in mid August any good events around that time? Thanks.

Only one I've been to other then Joliet is the one up in Union Grove, WI called Great Lakes Dragaway

Yup GLD will be your only bet then. It's hard to hook on it but I like it because you can hot lap all day long as it's never really that busy. That and it's like 15 mins from my house.

at GLD it was 10 bucks i think and you just have to leave your license as collateral. and im pretty sure it was at the same trailer where you could be tshirts and stuff like that.
