Here is a link to my '00 Camaro that I had before this one. I had 3.42 gears out back in a stock 10 bolt out of a m6 Camaro. My best pass was 10.85 @ 126, and that was on 17" MT Drag Radials with just boltons and the MS3 cam. No power adder and the car was 3275lbs. If your car is cam only with even a 100 shot, you will be faster than me. Weight and suspension make a big difference, but when you have 200hp more than me, that KINDA outweighs that advantage.

I know this is an older thread, but no sense in starting a new one. I was up there last Saturday night for the first time with a few friends. For the most part I thought it kinda sucked. Just a bunch of trucks, grand prix's, and a bunch of imports kept racing. Did get to see a small handful of good races. A C6 took down a scooby and an S2000 beat a 2-valve GT pretty bad. I did happen to see 2 goats and a few LS1 T/A's but we must have left before they ran, if they even ran at all. Wish I would have got to see this place back in its "glory days"

I was there sat with all the t/a's. None of the guys in my group ran, nobody wanted to race an LS1 or they wanted big money. The GTOs ended up running and I think the yellow one took it but they both seemed really slow for what they were?
Once the cops came and everybody left, one of my buddys got rearended by a probe(he said) and his whole backend is F***ED. Said the probe or w.e hit him doing 50 right where the 180 turn is to go to shell, and the kid was bleeding everywhere so the firetrucks and all that came and the cops were really mad and almost blocked everyone in shell(and surrounding parkinglots) to write tickets.

That sucks about your buddys car. I was wanting to see some LS1's run. I think we might have left right before the GTO's ran cause I saw the yellow one getting in line. I didn't have my Z up there, we were in a buddy's Avalanche. We just stopped by for about 2 hours. We were in town for a bachelor party. Left one establishment to watch some racing and headin to another establishment after we left there.
We ended up running right before we left, but it was just cause we needed to get turned around and so did another truck. The red F-150 got the Avalanche by a little over a truck, but then again we had 1100 pounds worth of people in the Avalanche, lol.

Dude the kid in that f-150 is a retard. Last time I was there, he was so drunk he coulnt stand, and he was racing people. So when we went there sat night I made everyone get the ***** outa the way when he went near his truck. But yea i seen that race lol. Looked like alot of people in the avalanche though.
Im not sure if it was that same kid, but one of the stupid "hillbilly" kids as everyone was calling them, took his rebel flag outa the truck and was running down the street...towards the south
!!

Yep, thats the one we raced. Like I said we just wanted to get turned around to leave and he talked us into a race with us loaded down. The ol 5.3 still put up a good fight prolly giving up about 2000 lbs to the f-150

Used to love Doty, now I hate it. These days people stand a lot closer, get a lot drunker, and act a lot dumber.
I wouldn't really wanna run with people standing 1-2 feet from my car for the first 100-200 feet.
Not to mention its inevitable that the police will be there within a half hour of you. Mainly because of the reasons I listed up there. They used to be a lot more lenient.

Well like you said with people standing so close and BEING DRUNK there are alot more accidents and people getting hurt/killed. Thats why they break it up so much now. With "Pulaski/Cicero&42nd" being closed, doty is completely full of ricers so most of the good cars dont bother.

I only went once or twice this summer, no where else that I know of, that you can just gather and watch and pick a race. As opposed to buddies/invites and only a few rolling out to some spot.

Me and my guy Adam used to go up there with our Red T.A's And yes the fart cans get annoying. I didnt really like it to much because I would either slaughter or get slaughtered. Some good races I had this year though

I was there Saturday. It was fun. Lots of slow rice. Couple fast cars,evo,n20 ls1 camaro,my car. I didnt race though. Its so dangerous now with all the people standing right next to the cars racing. But if i have no plans at all id go again.

Ill probably be up there tommorow, this sat. hopefully some of the other ls1's will show up or mabye some stangs to pick on. The rice does start to suck but it is one of the only places that you can just gurantee some races. Hope to see some of you guys up there.

I use to live a block away from there ! My car ran good against the stupid ricers and I even flipped my car over. I haven't been there in weeks though....need to find some new spots !
