It can happen, I just don't see a big slow truck jumping out in traffic and cutting somebody off. THe 31 comment, must be fun with low powered cars that don't go to triple digits in two shifts. Maybe some day you guys will step away from the slomaro's.

Just because you work at a transmission shop starring at all the broken stuff, doesn't mean it wasn't good to begin with. LIke when you guys stick that Big Fan under your shop car to keep the trans cool. Why don't you guys just plumb in a tilton fluid pump thru two heat exchangers?

The transmissions we deal with have nothing to do with the ABS system. I was making a point that the C5s are getting older and starting to show some flaws with age.

The red Z06 was built buy our shop. You will have to ask the owner about the big fans. That is all his deal. Packaging a fluid pump in that already over packaged car with the air to water intercooler tank and pump would have been a nightmare. The transmission wasn't overheating, he just wanted it to cool down faster so he could make more runs without eventually overheating the car. Someday if you move up into a real car (IE: anything buy a muffdang) you will understand 1100hp makes a lot of heat.

Number 1 killer of Transmissions is HEAT!!!!
Just saying! If it were me, I would have a fan on the trans too at his power levels. not to mention, it's just another way of protecting your investment. Whether it be a fan blowing under the car, or a heat exchanger inline as long as it stays cool, Thats the key point!

Oh, and DAMNIT... I'm ready for tomorrow!
Hope everyone can make it out to Edwards at 5pm to hang out!

If I beat corvettes now, how can I afford a 1000 hp honda to beat myself later. Your just jealous of my short jelled hair and you sport that business in the front and party in the back style.

Last time I was the GM powertrain center I mentioned they needed to have a drag pack option which included a big fan. Which when operated in reverse would create suction downforce.

Mustang event?! Like we really need them clogging the streets. There's enough mustang owners on the southside to fill an insane asylum...which is where they all belong if you ask me.

I always enjoy it and did my best on street tires, since then I swapped to drag radials. So anytime slayer wants to get down, just let me know.

Yeah you should probably bring something faster than a bone stock LS1 with exhaust and a drag radial out back....

1.5 seconds

So your a high 10 car.

315 drag radial is about 1/2 second to a seconded pending on launch.

Flip the chip switch to race gas tune, smaller pulley (street is 8lbs/Race is 17-19lbs pending belt slip), and turn on the meth.

I think it will be a good match up, maybe you better break out the credit car for that Nano Set up with a 200 shot, because your going to need it.

RPM trackday works for me that way if I blow the rearend up, I can have a winter project.
