Extended warranty's are like blow jobs, some are great and some are more pain then good where a hand job would of been a much better deal.

If the car had that many issues, I would of called the state and file it under the Lemon Law.

http://www.indianaconsumer.com/consu.../lemon_law.asp

I guarantee the dealer will go out of his way to fix it. Just need the right ammo

Nickie, where are you located at/ what areas do you frequent? Also, what dealer did you buy that car from? I'm sure we can help you out man. Probably for a fraction of what a dealer or large shop will cost you..

I'm fine. A little sore. Broke my foot in two places, so I wont be driving for a few weeks.

I havent been able to see the car yet, but from what I remember its pretty messed up. The driver of the trash truck was saying how he had witnesses, and that he was trying to get out of the way.... Well when you pull out in front of traffic and take up 3 lanes at a time, theres not much you can do.

So a trash truck those large slow things with the yellow flashing light pulled out in front of you and you ran into it. How fast were you traveling and what were you texting to not see a large slow moving vehicle accelerate at a snails pace with bright yellow flashing lights.

Look if this was some crappy neon with 8" disc and drum brakes I could see it. But a C5 corvette has one of the best weight balances, brakes that meet SCCA T1 racing rules, and one of the most superior ABS systems made on the planet.

So you sure you weren't trying to accelerate past the trash truck and then realized there was on coming traffic so you dived back behind the truck and not having fast enough reactions to brake in time there for hitting the trash truck. I hope the two guys that normally ride on the back of the trash truck were not almost killed. A 19 year old kid killed a trash man about year ago trying to pass the truck and he is doing 10 years for manslaughter.

Not knowing the details it allows people to speculate, since your not giving up the details it makes people wonder more.

so...the power tour is sofaking awesome. just watched a bbc f3r 70 chevelle pull 1377 whp on a portable dynojet. numbers seemed legit, most of the other cars weren't getting out of the 200s haha. highest pull for the day was 376 until ole boy sacked up and strapped down his beast.

was hoping to watch a roadmaster, titled the "boostmaster" dyno 2000+, but after strapping it down and dicking around a few mins the owner determined that the procharger was "broke".

Well thanks for being a dick.

It was at thompson and 31. I was in the left lane traveling east towards madison. The trash truck pulled out of an apt complex, I slammed on the brakes, and it locked them up, and I went right into the wheels of the trash truck. The abs didnt do ****. I was traveling around 40mph, which is the speed limit. The trash truck was turning left towards 31. I guess my driving skills are no match for a man of your stature.

Your ABS didn't work, dude the company S10 ABS works as 20 mph. One more thing to add to your list for the dealer to check out before you bought the car. Right there is just cause for you to get your money back if a dealer sold you a used car without the ABS working.

I would sue the dealer

A 10 year old C5 has the most superior ABS on the planet? Come work around these cars for a few weeks and you will see how reliable the ABS is. Give the guy a break. He had an accident and tore the hell out of his car. Lets just be thankful no one was too seriously injured. No matter who's fault it was or if he was texting, speeding or whatever, it isnt any worse than anything any of us have done on a friday or saturday night on 31...
