Indy People....check-in and say hi!
Hey whats up guys. I'm an hour south of Indy in Seymour. Who would be a good tuner around the area to tune my 2002 Z28 cam only car? At the beginning of this thread saw where people liked chad at GLM but that was 4 year ago and couldnt find anything on him. So, anyone else nearby that does a good job with resonable prices?
Picked up my level 4 t56 from rpm a few weeks ago... All I can say is.... DAMN!!! One smoth shiftin ride! Great guys too!
norris uses HP tuners software. i see that most indy guys go to him. im not too sure what or if theres any difference in EFI live vs. HP?? but norris seems pretty reputable with all the guys around here. i guess ill need to do some research myself on what tuner i should go with.
not to stir the pot, but Ive heard mixed things on norris? Mainly that small guys dont get as much attention and time. Mainly WOT tuning and thats it, no drivability and making sure the setup is really dialed in. Seems like a steep price if this is true.
I was wondering about that because I have heard that too. I've heard some really good and some not so good and also in between. Anywhere else?
I know some ppl are going to throw the name Pro Tech Dyno. But after my buddie went there, i wont send anyone there. Doesnt talk about what hes doing and talks to you like you have no idea what you have done to your car. Again that was just mine and my buddies thoughts on that place.
mark at danville doesnt have favorites. hes a great guy to all his customers. for example. i ran into him one tueday night out at ORP. he came up to me after a run and was willing to dial my drag tune in a little better. he tuned in the shift points and some other engine tuning. got me from a 13.85 to a 13.67 by the end of the night...and all for free. very good guy to do business with. just my 2 cents since were on the topic of how different shops treat there customers.

your "brother" know your back on this forum lmao

p.s again texas speed has a good setup
Ill say that i had some slight driveability issues with my old cammed/stalled Z28 prior to going to Norris, and he fixed them right up! I was about as low priority as it comes when I had him tune my car two summers ago (100k+ mile camaro driving poor young kid, haha.) He worked with me through all my issues and it was a completely different car when he was done with it! And I picked up around 20 rwhp and 20 rwtq if I remember correctly!
i loved pro dyno tech, you do have to understand he was a HP teacher so he had to deal with kids that "know it all" for a long time.. it was the same way when i was there but after awhile of talking to him he was a pretty nice guy. I dont think he talks to much about his programming like most he likes to have the secrets of his trade a secret. i will bring my T/A back there again when its done and maybe the S/C rivi or the rivi to ZZP not sure yet
Thats the first bad thing I ever heard about them. Every car he tuned I know of ran well and strong. Chill guy too, too bad hes out of the game in my opinion. Good work for quite a bit less than others.
