My recommendation, find someone who will tune it on the street in real life driving conditions. After the bulk of the tuning is done, take it to a dyno and do some WOT passes that way you don't have to worry about the police, other drivers, etc. You will get some numbers right then and there as well.

I shot you another PM.
Well That sounds very logical, And probably the best choice. I'm still new to all of this and just want the car to be right. I don't want a car that hits the rev limiter every shift, or loads up at idle or falls on it's face when you get into it. Thats all that scares me about putting in a new engine! The tuning is what makes the car. And I still want SOME street manors with the car. But will sacrifice the streetability as well to get the car to run tip top. I'm just kinda sitting here like a deer in headlights not knowing what to do.
Thanks for the suggestions Purdueranger and Burt! I Appreciate it alot.

No worries bro. Like, I said before...regardless of who tunes your car, you have to be happy with it in the end. Let me know if you need anymore info.

Moving up to the Seymour area in Febuary, how is the scene up in indy during spring/summer? I will only be 45min or so away so will probably venture up there in my TA from time to time.

I would consider it strong....to very strong. There is a large group of f-bodies on the south side. We tend to venture north a little bit during the summer. Well...those if us with running cars anyway.

Motor is at the machine shop as we speak. Do to circumstances beyond my control I went with a larger bore piston. I'm waiting on the new pistons and the H-Beams to be drop shipped. I also went ahead and decided to have the motor studded while it was apart. That added some extra machine work, but thats it. Then I will be waiting for a phone call to come pick it up.

Ought run pretty good for a stock LT1.

I saw you were changing pistons. Unfortunate, but that's life. Did you stud the mains also, or just the heads?

Stock LT1, huh? I've heard about those guys that prevaricate about their vehicle's potentional...
Kind of like that caged LS1 down in Whiteland that only goes 12.9 in the 1/4.

I've got an RPM built T-56 already. James on the other hand...yes look at the trannys....especially the ones that hide their "junk" really well.

I think the LS1 in Whiteland changed the muffler bearings, so he should be good for a solid 11 sec run. As far as guys prevaricating about their cars....its a myth, never happens.
