Outlaw true 10.5 class at us 41

Very true.
I was assuming there wouldn't be much worry about needing a 25.5 cage to go that fast at 41. Usually if you have most of your lug nuts and you doubled up the piece of duct tape that's holding the hole shut on your oil-pan(for safety), you can run an 8 second car at 41.

I think that rule changed. I believe its JB weld now and duck tape hold body panels on. Not sure though.
THIS IS JUST A JOKE. I'M NOT BEING SERIOUS.

Talked about 8.50, but didn't want to drive away faster cars either... thus the 8.30....
8.30/8.50.. I don't think the 2 tenths is going to be a big deal, besides these cars were all legal 1-2 years ago...
You know the chassis rule is 8.50/180.... I'd rather see a car run 8.30 170 than 180....
Make your car safe for as fast as you feel like going...

So it wouldn't be a problem if the car has a current cert for 8.50, but ends up going closer to the cap? I don't see why it should be...The car is all up to date, drive has a fully current fire suit, fire system...Alot safer than most of the **** at 41 these days.(I go 10s there with no cage and some old lap belt.)

That's why it should be 8.50, makes more sense, ditto for the GLD T/S class. The cage upgrade is so significant that most of us would have to rip out our old cages and redo them. Of course I have never made an 8 second pass so I'm talking theoretically.

A legal cert is 8.50/180MPH... Breaking 180 scares me more....
