It was nice to met you John. You've got a great car. With some gears she should be nasty. Bring it back by anytime!

Hey John, I did trash my rearend Saturday night.... I figured I'd have it back together by Tomorrow, But not gonna happen now. I chewed up my spider gears and had so much metal shavings in my diff, that the magnet fell off and was laying next to the diff. cap.
Gonna look around for another rearend with some 3.42's or 3.73's. Just till I can get me a Moser 9 inch.
I've never had any luck with 10 Bolts. This will be my 3rd rearend and my 4th Transmission!
Hope to get it back together here soon so we can RAPE that *** in the Stang again......

yeah it does suck! But hey what can ya do ya know!
But anyways I think I found a rearend with 4.10's in it for $350.00 so I guess when it all boils down it's gonna benefit me anyways. I would really like 3.73's but I'll try the 4.10's and see how they are. If I don't like the 4.10's I'll go to a 9 inch with 3.70's or a 12 bolt with 3.73's.

Yeah the guys that lost their lives in those crashes I feel bad for their families most of all. That would be sad.

Well I'll keep you updated with my rearend situation, but if you come accross something don't hesitate to LMK.

Thanks

James

I still think the 10 bolt is the best way to go for you right now when it comes to money.

4.10s are nice, they are harder on at least the 6 speed cars, your RPM's will be up quite a bit more not to mention on the highway but you may like it though.

Glad you got it running, and good luck with dialing it in! Hope to meet you out on 31 sometime or maybe at a meet!

David: Not sure which way I'm gonna end up going with this. I may just park it and get the Iroc running and save for the 12 bolt or 9 inch! I Dunno Yet!

i pulled many a 1.6 60' with my 3600lb car on the stock 10 bolt with 373 gears and a girdle. my trans tailshaft housing broke before anything else did...i literally broke that sumbitch in half.

and yes i agree, 7.5" 10 bolts are gay. the only thing they're good for is getting a dyno number.

From 2 pm till 9pm Usually people hang out at the suds in greenwood and after that we all cruise the strip. From us31 in greenwood to Downtown and back to greenwood. And some people will pull over and pick a spot to hang out at and chill.
If you need some people to hang with hit me up with a PM and I'll give you my # and we can try to get a crew together......

I do that whenever I come up. Rain has been so bad not wanting to travel. Just going to Indy to screw around. What days do they race or test and tune at Raceway Park in Indy.
