I would go but its kinda hard when u dont have a tranny and ur car doesnt want to idle b/c the cam is huge. Man i need a tune bad but c&s wants an arm and a leg for a tune.
#244
Yea but how was that amount charged? was it for 3 pulls or until the car was tuned properly? My cam is just a tad larger than urs lol and i guarantee 3 pulls wont even touch tuning my car. By the way I was suprised the pickup tube was pretty easy, just wanted to make sure i didnt drop the bolt in the pan is all. I can not get my car to idle at running temp right now ive gotten it 2 times to idle and sounded sick but as soon as u blip the throttle it dies again.

Anyone got more info on DynoSport in Lincoln?? I called him today. He's tuning my ride this Saturday @ 6p.m. I think my car needs a tune pretty bad. What A/F ratio should I see on my wideband under WOT? I think its running to lean. Dosent drop much from cruise.

They are good guys down there at dynosport and they should get u set up where u want. I got a pm from jason at texas speed and for now he said he could do a mail order tune for a good price that will replace my dynotune and its free to re tune for a year so im gonna go with that for now ive been spending too much money on the car lately.
#251
So why do u need a new tune? Im guessing ur dynosport tune was before ur cam. How much did ur dynosport tune run you? Ive got a mail order tune from Wait4me. Not really happy wit it. Hopefully dynosport can get it tuned out.
Did you install ur cam ur self? If so did u degree it in or did u install it straight up.

I installed the cam myself and used the dot to dot method, maybe i explained that wierd. The car has never been tuned before and the ms4 is kind of a donkey dick cam and im having a hard time getting it to idle even. So jason at TSP is giving me a good deal on a mail order so ill see how it plays out. I know a few people around here that have had tunes at dynosport and have had good luck with them.
Is anybody out today? It's pretty nice out..i'll be going out one of these days if you guys want to do a cruise sometime in may? Early may?

Was that you at sonic saturday night? I saw a car pull in that looked exactly like yours, but didnt see where you parked.

Got my tune from Dynosport yesterday. Love it. Highly recomended.
Ordered some Mickeys today. Cant wait to see what it will run, with stock stall and gears. 335.1rwhp and 339.2rwtq. Going to Kearney Drag Strip as soon as the Sticky Mickeys get here. Damn I wish they would get that drag strip in Hastings up and running. I hate Kearneys Strip, went there 2day just to see what was running. What a joke, like a bunch of chickens running around with there heads cut off. They only ran 1/8th mile 2day cause the left lane wouldnt register @ 1/4 mile. What a waste of time. We set there for an hour watching them run mopeds down the track, trying to get there **** to work. We watched bout 10-12 1/8mile runs and said "lets go, this is stupid."
To bad its the only place to go!!!

What's up guys. Quick feedback on my C&S Motorsports experience. First off, Tom is a class act who definitely knows his stuff. Did the work at the right speed, didn't charge me for time he wasn't working on the car and did a fantastic job. Had the tranny and rear-end fluids replaced w/ Royal Purple, car shifts alot better and the common Corvette "rear-end rattle" is gone.
Dropped the car all the way on the stock bolts in the front and all the way in the back plus remove a section of the rear bushing. Looks great, probably dropped an inch all around.
Now the good stuff. Main reason for taking it there was to have the car re-tuned. I had the mod work done and the car tuned when it only had 290 miles on it and it has 17K now so it was time since the engine was broken in.
Here are the results:
Base pull - 341.5 RWHP @ 6000 / 332.1 RWTQ @ 4900
Final pull after the re-tune: 381.2 RWHP @ 6100 / 353.3 RWTQ @ 4800
Difference: + 39.7 RWHP / + 21.2 RWTQ
As the engine broke in, it was taking in more air and running lean and he was seeing alot of knock retard which was killing power. He made some nice adjustments to the timing and I can feel a difference in every gear including 6th.
Big difference in peak power, from 2900-5000, there is only about a 15-20HP difference, before and after. The best difference is in the "meaty" part of the HP curve where you want to see it. Before from 5000-6150, HP would jump from 316-340 (24HP). Now from 5000-6150, it jumps from 333-381 (48HP) and you can feel the difference.
Big difference in the torque band too. Even though the max tq. only increased by 21, I'm seeing a 32 RWTQ increase at 2900 and a 37 RWTQ increase at 6150. Basically, the torque curve is stronger, a little flatter and pulling harder and for a longer period then before. Before from 5000-6150, TQ would drop about 40 lbs., now it only drops about 20 lbs.
Figuring in the loss on the dyno, the motor is putting out 477HP and 442TQ at the flywheel. That's a 77HP and 42TQ increase from stock with nothing but headers, x-pipe, CAI, ported TB and intake and a tune. Pure bolt-ons mods.
Bottom line, I spent about 6 hours there yesterday and couldn't be happier with the results. If you need work done on your cars you should definitely talk to Tom @ C&S.
