LMAO! I know some guys in my area with ls1's but they are just basically stock. they are like i wish my car was like yours... I tell them get on ls1tech youll learn alot... but they never seem to make the effort!

I'd say we have quite a few LS1 guys around, but either they don't know how to use the internet, no money, or simply aren't true enthusiasts.

I thought we had a lot of interest for the meet up this year and only a few showed, but we had a great time with the group we had...

Very well put timmy! We had a very good time and i would like to see more people but if we have the same turnout i would be content with that. Met alot of people that i still stay in contact with. These guys brought no drama and had the same intrest.

I would have liked to go... but my car wasn't ready and that a LONG drive for me lol..

I might try to make it if ya do it again... well see how the Trans AM does with a TH400... It might not be up for a long trip like that.

O we are def doing it again and hopfully for years to come! If you need you can stay the night we rent a spot for the night and it has plenty of room for cars and tents. I hope to have both my cars there next year.

Ya i would definetally have to stay.... lol, I am from Alliance other end of the state..

If my car isn't up for the trip my friend "zacht" here on tech will probably want to go and ill ride with him...

He has a pretty nasty setup in the works... Heads/Cam/nitrous, he just went back to afganistan, and has a whole garge full of parts ready to go on his WS6. He should be back in march, then we can tear his car down and build it up.

LOL yeah i get that alot. I am more of a cam guy should have went that route in the first place. I should be making about the same pwr as i am now. I dont think i will do much more after this build. Maybe 3800 stall with 3.73 gears. Here are the cam specs its a big bitch 243/259 .691/.702 w 1.8 rocker 112 CL.

I bought my car last september stock with 64000 miles...

did a cam only setup with vig3600 and was fun...

then did heads, was a little more fun...

bought an STS kit, really fun.... killed the ls1.

Now I have my DIY front mount, and is just awesome..

Working on getting a Th400 with transbrake at the moment, cant wait!

Ya that is a big cam!!!! I was making around 420ish with a 227/231 .614 .617 112+2!!

What are you looking to make? I dont see how you could make the same power as you did with the procharger... unless your runing really low boost.

I am making ok power, 528hp and 491tq ... I have an issue above 5600rpm it drops like a rock... once i get it figured out i should push 600hp...

Yeah i have been watching your build nice setup. As long as i can get in the 10's on motor alone i am happy. There is a guy with the same setup on corvette forum with the same package as me but he has a manual and 3.73 gear and 102 Fast. And he is running a 10.23 or 10.33 i cant remember i will have to check.

yeah the procharge was on 4.5 lbs of boost making about 700hp at crank. This kit makes is rated at 660 hp so it will be alittle pwr loss but it pulls all the way to redline. The guy that did the same swap as me had a procharger kit to and dont regret the swap. Plus i will lose 100lbs getting rid of the sc.

Also i am waiting for the new nitto dr to come out in 19's in january i am getting them. If they dont hook i am going with 18's with MT's. I know i will have to work on my 60 that will be my weak spot.

I love my MT... Nitto and M&H are ok but dont compare to the MT's... never tried BFG's though.

Um i dont really remember what people were putting down for numbers last year. There were a couple bolt on cars at the meet but no 500hp cars. I know there will be alot more 500+hp cars next year. Atleast i hope people are telling me they have parts on order and so forth. And being next year it will be open to vette, gto, f-bodies and so forth i think we will have more power. But when it gets dark we go out to a old highway and race them which is a long strech of road. I mean really it will be a good time. Meet up at the lakes talk for a couple hours, go for cruise, come back talk more, gets dark then go out to old highway 6 and run them, then head back to camp and drink more COLD beer and bs. It went to fast just ask everyone i talked the whole time.

I would love to be around some other lsx fans.... to be honest i normally drive people crazy talking cars, lol.

I am not used to being around other people making more power than me, lol itll be a nice change! maybee i can learn some stuff. I live in a tiny town and everyone is used to old school and the ls1 is some alien motor or something! LMAO!

I can find anyone to race around here either..... I am gonna try to make it to a track a few times next year also... never ran a 1/4 at a track! It looks like a blast compared to the street!

I hope to have a foged big cube motor in the next few years... wont be for a long time though. I want to have a reliable 800hp, but that cost $$$$$. Im trying to buy a house at the moment, so any big purchases are on hold for a while....
