You dont pay federal taxes on your federal refund the next year, but you do pay for your state refund.

I got 950 back,it helped me get caught up on bills and hopefully should be a little of a downpayment on a ls1 car if I can get approved for a loan

Ha, I had to pay in to Fed and State. Was hoping that I'd get money back and put that towards the car. But, Hell no. About $400 that I really couldn't spare. So If I actually see that $600 check that Congress is saying will start to arrive in a few months I'll be two hundred ahead and then have to pay taxes on it in 08. It Sux. Ok I feel better now.

It does my heart good to see all you young guys pissed about the IRS. I am paying this year. As much as that sucks, it's better than the free loan to the government. I wish they would eliminate payroll deduction and make us all write a check every month. Then we would want to know what we were paying for... Like the "bridge to nowhere"...

I'm a business owner, so I owe money. I hate this time of year. But when the tax credit comes in during April, we are going to get a new LCD for the living room!
