Default 00 trans am

How about a shift kit in the trans of this car? Is it worth doing and how about a gear it has a 3.23 now auto. J

Get a set of headers,pull the cats off if you dont have emissions but a good tune and you will be ok on emissions,I would put a 3200-3600stall converter in the car and if you really wanted to you can put a 3.73 out back and that car should run 12.50s or better on a sticky tire

Any idea what is the stock converter in the car and thanks for the great performance ideas, I'm going with headers, Y-pipe no cats, air lid first. What type converter do you like for the LS1? Will this put me in the range of a stock 00 corvette?

Your car as it sits right now should run almost identical times to a 00 vette. You both make about the same power maybe a few more with your car and since you have a lightweight optioned car it might even be a little bit faster.

Look into a yank,fuddle,or even TCI but id look into the yank first and also maybe a vigilante but im not so sure about those.

i love my TCI converter...good track results and very easy to DD...my wifes 15 year old sister drives it with no problem...and if your looking for your best power gains i wouldnt doe headers and a y pipe set up..id do a TD setup with headers and an x pipe...better power gains...a Lid is a Lid..the only difference i have seen is fitment issues...personally i think SLP lids fit the best...but no difference in power gains...but a converter and LT's?TD's and sticky tires should have you making 12.50 passes easily with enought seat time

nothing bad at all to say about yank...im just speaking from experience...but ive heard good and bad things about TCI and Yank...so its more personal experience than anything really...either way a stall is a "must have" mod on an A4 LS1 car
