I'm looking for something full time with benifits. But will entertain anything.

This is not how I planned my tuesday to go.

go to www.att.com click upper right of the screen it says "careers" look under hourly and occupational. Look for something along the lines of "Cable Splicing Technician" there might not be any openings right now but check back periodically. They are constantly putting it up and taking it down.

I hope not. Something like this is not a joke. How do you know what my finical situation is? Kids, married? Honestly, if this IS just a big joke, i'd be calling a lawyer...

I agree that it all depends on who your working for. Yes as an apprentice your pretty much guaranteed a job for the 5 years. But as far as our shop goes, they have a tendency to keep the people for the long haul, why train them and then get rid of them? But yea, its part of the job, things slow down. Non the less, goodluck

Maybe in 134. Thats so far from the truth from where I work out of. But actually im a 3rd year trainee (residential) and they wont let me switch over... (to an apprentice) so Now I am looking at Com Ed. It is a good deal if you can find a good contractor but I got the shaft.. lol. Im still going to keep my card but Im probably just going to take a withdrawl for a couple years... not sure.

I work as a maint. guy in EG, and we might be looking to replace a guy soon at my plant, but there is an opening at our sister plant down the street. 18-20 bucks an hour to start, gotta have your own tools.
