Default Just got laid off, any input?

Well I show up to work today to get laid off, how nice of them. If anyone know of any job openings let me know.

I've had prior automotive experiance at a citgo oil change place, as well as a fairly busy mom and pop garage. I'm also a FireFighter/Emt-B.

I'm looking for something full time with benifits. But will entertain anything.

This is not how I planned my tuesday to go.

Spencer, if you can drive a fork lift, go to DSC Logistics in Elwood and fill out an app. I'm not hiring at my warehouse but I heard that one is.

First thing I would do is hit up the unemployment office. You never know how long it might take to find something.

I would start looking into the near suburbs using your EMT experience/training. I would think someone near by would be hiring.

No sorry shultz, I need to resecure a job 1st. I'll let you know whats going on.

I prefer suburban firefighting more than anything. Its my goal in life but until i finish medic school theirs nothing I can do.

That and the list to get on the fire side is long....very long. I'd be better off becoming a medic then transferring over.

lol $16/hr is the starting rate with no experience, you get a raise every 6 months until you hit around $31/hr. People with a lot of previous work experience are capped at a $23-24/hr starting rate.
