New dyno number, IM SELLING MY FBODY
ok so basically on a mustang dyno cam only i put down 383 and 372, with 224r cam full bolt ons and i am an m6, since i have added prc stage 2.5 5.3 heads milled to 59cc and true dualsi just got a call saying it dynoed 398rwhp on a dynojet and i didnt get a torque number..i am picking it up saturday so i dont have a graph to post. i thought after spending 2400$ on heads and exhaust i would havce gained more....any input?, im seriously considering just getting rid of it right now, its just so depressing after all the hard work and money put in

this is EXACTLY why im not spending a chunk on Heads,,,,my 241's worked over will give me plenty (for my money spent.) If i get lucky, maybe i can do up the 243's...but spending that kind of money and getting no gains is not a good feeling. Sorry man.

Every dyno is different... I'd say get some track numbers and see what she does... Dyno numbers don't say much and you can't compare them when you are talking about two different dynos... Take it back to the Mustang Dyno if you really want to see your gains..

also,,arent mustang dynos very inaccurate? meaning they tell ya you are higher than you really are? I Thought i was told that by someone on here at one point,,ive never dyno'ed (also out of my budget) so i really dont know,,but they all cant be the same,,,can they?

Yeah man I dont know what numbers you were expecting but 400 isnt to out of line I dont think for your set up. You dont have the biggest cam in the world in the car so like pro2low said hes got a bigger cam and still laid down a little over 400. ALot of guys make over 400 cam only but they are running big cams MS3,MS4 for example

241's dont get the credit they deserve,,they flow pretty good stock, and can flow great if worked properly,,,AND, u can usually find them on here in the 100 to 200 dollar range.

i think its the other way around a mustang syno is supposed to put alittle bit of a load on it ive heard so they give you lower number.. and a dynojet gives out the higher ones... im not positive tho

i think your right,,i just know that they give different numbers compared to each other..which is kinda gay, but whatever works. To me,,the best way to tell where your at is at the track...which i also havnt done.

my cam only numbers where high and my track times where great... I'm happy.
oh wait were talking about your car... j/k dude.
honestly as stated above all dynos are different, plus its just a comparitive measurement to see what you car does with upgrades. The real test is at the track

That's right, you'll see lower numbers on the mustang vs. the dynojet since the mustang is a loaded dyno. A load is placed on the roller to simulate real world driving conditions. Dynojets are inertial dynos, just a big drum in the floor for your car to spin. Mustang's are supposedly a more accurate measure of true rwhp.

A mustang dyno will show number a little lower because of the way the car is loaded. For instance you put dwn 410 at speed inc.. at straightline you may put down 395.. You have to remember that the way it is loading the car on different dyno's has a huge differnce on a tune.

Time for a different tuner...
