dealership waranty???

ok well i thought i blew my rearend, but sadly it ended up being the trans. i have an active waranty for my car. the only thing i did was do headers and a full exhaust and airlid. if i take my car to a dealership will it still be covered, or will the waranty be void? A 4L60E trans aint cheap, and if i can get it covered under waranty id like to go that route. So if you can help me with my situation that'd be great. Thanks, -Matt

**** man tht suxs....i take it u prob wont b ready for speed inc?....it pretty much depends in the dealership, some can be real ******** and say tht ur warranty is void bc of ur after market parts, and others dnt care, just depends on the place

yea, i wont be there in the camaro, but il try to go just to check it out. hopefully i can find a cool dealership that wont care and just fix it

What warrenty do u have. we can do most of the GM ones. We are doing rings on one right now... Call the shop and talk to nick about it...

It will depend on who the dealership calls for warranty. My car was already "modified" when I bought the car. The warranty covered my transmission twice. Same stuff was on the car when it was done those 2 times. Third time, a different guy came out and said it was modified so the warranty was void. We had the mechanic from the dealership(very cool guy, and helpful) even tell the warranty guys that it was already like that when they covered it before, and they still denied it. Ended up dishing out for a brand new tranny since I needed it. 3k down the drain..... Since then, when I got my Cavy, I took pics(with timestamps) of everything on the car so I have proof how the car was, and so they can't say something was different from when I bought it.
