Default Its finally done!!!

My car is finally done! I spent all winter doing a 6spd swap and finally drove her home tonight!

I'm so happy it all went well and its finally done (I was getting sick of working on it!)

Its just crazy to me, about 4 years ago when I bought this car I hardly knew how to change my own oil and I here we are with a swapped trans all done by me a few helper monkeys!

Can't wait to cruise up to Speed Inc. in it!

Just want to thank all of LS1Techers for all the help & support they have provided me!!

Damnit.....yeah I was making a run on the highway, looked down and for some reason did not want to shift into 4th. Looked behind me and smoke. The whole back of the car is COVER in tranny fluid. Let it cool off, and on the short ride home no 2nd....****.

Its got to be motor related....rear->trans->???

Honestly i might get out of the f-body game soon. I might buy a nice DD and a bike since i have the 71 to race. Its just depressing because i love my camaro, but gas prices, **** breaking and me not having a job sucks.

Don't get discouraged. Its all worth it.... I think. lol

If it makes you feel any better I almost had to set my car on fire last night lol.

Took it out for a little test drive after we were done blasted it up through about the middle of 3rd and let off. Went to put it back in third and it would only grind... put it back in 2nd... ok Couldn't get back into first at all.... wtf...

So I pull off and shut off the car. Try to start it again and get back into first... no luck at all. It wont go into 3rd or 5th or reverse either!

So here I'm thinking damn... I blew out all the top gears somehow already!!!

Limp it back home in 2nd and thought about it for a while.... then I ripped off the console and looked @ the shifter. It was just the stop bolts on my Pro 5.0 were loose and the top one backed itself so far in I couldn't get it into gear!!

How'd you like hanging those pedals in? that was the WORST part of my swap. Congrats, Believe me, it's a fun swap once it's done!

That really sucks man. There is alot that goes into these swaps and its real easy to overlook things. I had to have the pigtails for some of the connectors on the trans. overnight cuz I forgot about them. Hope to see you at the open house, your trans seems to run pretty well still, not so sure about that master cyl. though

Hanging the pedals did suck, they're so awkardly shaped and there really seems to be only one way to get them in, I actually broke off one of the sensors for the brake pedal when putting them in. Luckily I had one from my auto pedals still.

The hardest part of my swap BY FAR was getting the automatic out, that little sucker really fought me.
