Scott, I'm with you on the fix the fuel system concept. Same reason I went overkill on mine. Shouldn't ever have to worry about the fuel system again, good piece of mind.

That said, it's still nice to have a good "just in case" setup to cover your ***. Electrical gremlins are 99% of the time caused by installer error. Just like anything, do it RIGHT and it'll work just fine.

I thought I had the cat's pajamas with my dual pump setup. I'm already on pump number 3 and 4. Not doing dual Walbros again. I'm doing research for a new setup that'll have plenty of extra capacity. Gotta wait to see what all is FUBAR'd first and go from there.

Hopefully, it's just a head gasket and nothing internal like bent valves. It didn't sound catastrophic when I limped it on 469, but it sure didn't sound very good pulling into the garage from the driveway. It was only running on 5 or 6 cylinders and they didn't sound too good. Definentely going to invest in a wideband once the car's repaired and running again.
Ya I will get over sometime this week scott and pull ALL the plugs for you. IF there was or is coolant in the cylinders, that usually causes some bent valve issuses!

We need to get a group buy on the Denso Supra pumps. I've been doing some reconsidering myself

Blake, what type of fuel pump did Finney have that went out? Was that a Bosch 044?

I was gonna suggest the Denso Supra Pumps also. Run the Supra pump inline that would feed into a Bosch 044. I know a few guys running a setup like that. Also, I believe a Supra pump is worth about 290 lph (~76 GPH) at 14v.

Finney had a bad wire in the factory RX7 plug into the fuel sender assembly with the pump. The pump itself was a-ok.

And it was the Bosch in tank version of the 044 (which is an out of tank, inline pump).

That or the Denso would be where I'd put my money. Much higher quality parts than the (current) Walbros.

Thanks for your help getting the Mazda torn down last night.

So I recieved my new bushings for the rear suspension of the BMW last night. Powerflex poly bushings to try and tighten up some of the vagueness in the rear of the car. Supposed to be new in box.

Open them up, no steel center sleeves. Great. Contacting the guy I got them from now (his response "are you sure they need those?" "Yeah, pretty ******* sure" ).

So today, I stop at UPS and pick up my pistons (picked up a set overstock from a vendor on here for a great price). Open the box, yup, pistons still in the original foam wrapping, excellent. Now, let's look at the rings, locks and pins... Oh, there aren't any. GREAT.

Both people I bought items from are well rated in their histories... hopefully both just screwed up and I'll get the rest of the parts. If not, does anyone have any lime sitting around?

Yeah, I have a beautiful set of Wiseco boost pistons sitting behind me here at the office. Without pins and rings (see above post).

Maybe I need to donate to a church or something, my luck is **** lately. Sorry Massey, apparently me riding in your car jinxed ya.
