Hey Chris are you going to have your truck fixed by the Shootout?

 

Hope so. I took the trans apart and i broke the gearset, badly. Gonna order parts tomorrow and should be ready for the wed. The exhaust got busted up pretty good from it slamming back to earth so i wont have quiet exhaust, just dumps after the front tire

 

It sucks that you broke the gearset I hear on your last run of True Street. I'm glad though you can get it fixed pretty quick though. Maybe the track day being this Wednesday is for the better for you. How big of a wheelie did you do? Was 8.92 your quickest time? I saw one run in the compilation video that LPE posted up on tech. Are you going to leave the exhaust with dumps for now on even after the Shootout?

 

yeah so far the .92 was the best, but my 60ft was a little slow and it was on 18lbs, I can still turn it up a little.

the exhaust is beat up pretty good, but ill have it fixed for the shootout

 

The trans fluid is so burnt that when my neighbor came over yesterday he thought something was on fire. I still like it sitting in the garage though

Great job troy u can really drive the crap out of that stick car. TJ had a new best also and hopefully Adam can get his back together in time for the shootout. Thanks again to those who came out and maybe next year we will have a car show so we can get the high hp LS cars to the track

 

Nice job Troy! Someday, I wouldn't mind meeting up and checking out your car. Not too many good running LT1 cars out there anymore.

Well, due to an unknown boost leak from my Z, I never did get it running right this year.

But the good news of the year is that I did get my Formula tranny upgraded with all the viper internals, and it is enjoyable to drive again. I was considering going to Muncie this Wednesday as I will have the afternoon off from work, and the weather looks good with only a 10% chance of rain, and ideal temps. Anyone interested in going with me?

Had a great time at the track last night. New personal best in the Formula. Nothing worth posting as it is far from the cars potential. But I thought it was decent given the temps were in the 40's, the tires were old bald BFG's (one still has a nail in it), and my suspension is tight, and not meant at all for drag racing. I still hung dead even with a 500+ RWHP Cobra on the way home so I was happy.

I enjoyed beating on that LS1!
