Well I have been having a grand old time over at AT&T for the past 6 months but I think it might be coming to an end soon. They are having a lay off of about 250 people in Illinois and I think I am one of them.

I am a Journeyman in the IBEW Local 21 so I am very good with electrical work. I have experience in retail, bar-backing/restaurant service, great with computers, delivery driver, and a couple other things. I can work most simple heavy machinery like forklifts and power jacks.

Anybody got anything for me? Lemme know.

ill be turning mine in then.....if you do go that route make sure you have a letter of intent it is worth an extra 10 points on your test! so you can actualy score a 110.

im actualy gonna be going to work for the company thats writing me the letter as a driver within a week or two.

 

There is a lot of construction projects happening in and around indianapolis.

 

I just went back to work this week... laid off for 8 months LU 176 joliet has some decent amounts of work.

 

Just got the official word today. Last day of work is 8/29/2008. Next Friday.

Isn't it part of your locals responability to place you with another company? are there that many journey men laid off in 21? Im a 701 dupage county electrician, (commercial) and very few commercial guys laid off. Alot of residential are though. If i got laid off i doubt it would be more then a week the things are moving.
