Default Selling my silver 2002 formula

I need a winter vehicle/tow car so my formula has to go. This is copied from the for sale section. Figured I'd get the word around locally.

----------------------------

I am selling my 2002 Pontiac Firebird Formula. 1 of 907 formulas made in 2002. I purchased it new at the end of June in 2002 from the the dealer, it just arrived the day before and had 3 miles on it. It has 8920 or so miles on it.

Price: $17,000 obo (I'd accept 16,500 cash). Fly into O'hare and drive it home.

The car gets 25 mpg on the highway easily. This is a great deal.

Specifics:
Silver metallic
Black leather interior, power everything.
T-tops
Automatic
LS6 block
Still smells like new (lol)

The car just passed emissions a few weeks ago.

I was curious, if you are unable to sell a car for 6-7 months, does that mean your price is too high? How long have you been trying to sell this car, two years?

/jerk mode off

What have dealers offered in trade?

I don't think $16.5K for a 8xxx mile 02 Formula is bad at all.

Guys are trying to get $13-$14K for ones with much higher mileage, hell this one is like new! It isn't like you can fine low low mile F bodies really easily.....

Thank you. Some people don't understand. I've seen just a handful with as low miles as mine.

FWIW, right now EVERYONE is having a hard time selling cars. I have seen outrageous deals on several types of cars (Vipers, F bodies, exotics, etc) and they aren't moving. Look at the "built" cars FS on here now, they aren't bringing **** even for low money. So just because a car sits FS for a long time (especially our types of cars) it doesn't mean much, just that possibly the economy is fucked right now.

I'd see what they offer on trade, plus you get the tax credit.

Some late models got the LS6 block, it isn't terribly uncommon.
