Default Indianapolis area - need mechanic for Ford 9" axle seal

Hi Everyone,

Anyone around the Indy area willing to assist with replacing a rear axle seal in my TA? Never had to do this before, so I don't know how involved it is.

The car has a Ford 9", I'm also not positive it's the axle seal, but I'm 90 percent certain it is.

I will pay to have this done, just don't know where to take it to or who to ask....

Ryan

Replacing an axle seal is pretty easy. I had a 9". It should'nt take more than 1 hour. Do you have diff greese all on the inside of your rear wheel?

That's what I think it is - it's all over the back of the rotor and the inside of my rear wheel.

Then it is an axle seal problem.. You don't have a bent axle do you? Did you curb it or anything?

Nope, but then again I've only had the car for a few months - bought it used.
