As for a cam for the LS1-

I think im still going to go with Trick Flow heads
and have Comp Cams make me a custom grind for my LS1 going off my cam spec's i had in my LT1

230/236@.050 Duration .555/.580@112LSA Figured on a 1.5 ratio rocker.(but if i figure the lift from the 1.5 ratio to the 1.7 it comes out to like 697 on exhaust - so thats really not going to work i dont think)

I think that should be a pretty nasty yet very streetable cam along with Trick Flow heads, supporting springs, lifters & pushrods, LS6 or FAST intake, throttle body, ported MAF,36/42lb injectors, Pacesetter LT's & ORY,magnaflow Catback, SLP lid,125 shot and a 3200 stall??

Opinions please anyone who OWNS an LS1....

well hell remember me? silver 98z from lincoln tech? anyways trick flows are badass, but god damn they cost a lot. You must use harlan sharp rocker when then, then you need valve cover spacers blah blah blah... fast intake with those heads or your wasting time. 42lb injectors. pacesetters are good, IDK about the 125 shot, cuz then your getting into need a racetronx pump hot wired with a voltage booster to hold fuel pressure... then your 4l60 will not be happy with anything much other than a stall lol... the list goes on forever lol.

I would just do bolt ons, stall exhaust, cam and a small shot and with the right parts it can go 10's when needed.

PM me if you need my number again.

yes I know this purdueranger, that's why I'd have to have the rr figured into the lift of the cam if I had comp make me a grind off my old lt1 cam..

Who knows.

Jeff, I would not trash talk that Viper to much, once he gets the bugs worked out and puts on the big boy pulley there will only be three people that will be able to touch him.

Remember that he is on super low boost and I wold be scared if I had a 80k car and 30k in mods..... I would hate to blow that up..

You really sure it maxed out?

Remember I am friends with the guy and on low boost he lost by like 2 cars to a 10 sec car.

I also know he is looking into different brakes to go with a drag wheel........

Doug is the knid of guy that will still race while trying to work the bugs out. The car is no turd, I know what it put down on low boost.

I bet there are more than 3 people around Indy that could run with a blown Viper.

Thats about the most ingorant post you can make. Just because YOU only know three cars that can beat him dosn't mean thats all there is in Indy. I would bet I can name atleast 10 that could show him taillights.

David- those ROWE supercharged and built vipers dont really make much power man. i hear 10psi is like MAX out of those things and that even with " built" bottom ends they are still weak.. Hell all it would take would be a mid 11 sec LSx car adn a 150 shot would show him taillights.....

For example ( if this pastes):

1999 Viper GTS/ACR Edition - Silver/Blue Stripes (1 of 30 Built)
Roe Supercharged, T&D Rockers, PBJ Intake, Borla Exhaust
618 rwhp, 651 ft/lbs torque

1998 Quicksilver Supra Turbo - 980rwhp / 746 tq
Sound Performance Built and Tuned

Jeff! When did you beat me 2 outta 3 times?
Amber never did get a chance to line up with you and get a good pull in with you. We played a bit but she NEVER raced you man! Except on the interstate and she kept getting the jump and you let out.

We'll have to run em sometime before you put the mods on!
I'll video tape it so there is no questions about who wins- Rather you or I win!

Yeah that was a crazy night.... We hit 120 and let out... just trying to stay with the pack of cars doing 150 ish??
That kinda speed is just asking for trouble man! I don't mind doing a dig race from 0-120, but anything over that (on the interstate or not) is just too dangerous.
Too many things can go wrong.

Yeah a lot of cars could beat me, pretty easy when you have a shell of a car and a rear end in the car and everything is torn apart.

Yeah there are a lot of fast cars around here but how often do you see them out?

Two of them are about to run 8's on the motor, one can be driven on the street but is not.

Doug is at 10psi not tuned. I know what the car is built to handle safe and its a lot more.

It will be interesting when he cranks the boost up with the meth and has a drag wheel out back.

There are Roe cars making a lot more power then that Jeff, quite a few making 8XX to the wheels easy. I have seen one in person with Doug with me and a simple you tube search will bring some up. You think that thats not much power? I know his car is built to handle a few hundred more hp then 800.
