Fire Protection is a Great Job.
As for PJ if your not serious don't put it down and also hope you can swim. Not just good but like a damn dolphin. or else you won't pass. That is the hardest.

Another Firefighter here. It really is one of the best jobs in the AF IMO. I was a B1 crew chief for 8 years and got to retrain a year ago and love it. Glad I came from the maint world and did what I did, makes me appreciate **** a lot more but Im glad as **** to be out of the maint world now.
Go Fire and dont look back.

Out of all those i'd choose fire fighter. Basic training is cake physically, it's more mental than anything. You do a lot of push ups no big deal. A lot of marching, not too big of a deal, unless you get athletes foot real bad like i did....lol
Don't let the recruiter tell you what job is available. I fell for that **** and what a waste of money the USAF has spent on me, this job is NOT for me and i'll be getting out or retraining.

I agree don't go into maint. It's garbage! You work the most hours out of everyone in the AF and you get paid the same as any paper pusher that sit's on his *** all day. You'll never know what shift your going to be on because you swap them like underwear, lol. I suggest medical considering it's a one shift operation "DAYS" and your out of the weather. I'll be joining the medical team right after tech school which is in Sept! **** MAINT!!!!
