RAF Croughton? England?
Hey anyone out there near or stationed in England? I am torn between selling the car and bringing it to England. Gas $prices are up there, also i heard it expensive to maintain the car etc. any info thanks

Bring it. There are 3 or 4 C6's on Lakenheath, one or two on Mildenhall, about 10 C5's, probably a dozen overall F-bodies, a handful of Terminators (some KB'd) and other built V8's...
And thats just the Lakenheath/Mildenhall area. You'll regret selling it man. I'm glad I brought my vette out. It's been a blast, and the Brits love the American Muscle, despite what Jeremy Clarkson tells you... lol.
You can buy gas on base, obviously, so you shouldnt be worried about that. If for some reason there's no gas station on Croughton (I would think there is), most folks just buy an 8-900 dollar beater when they get here to commute in. There are little 1-1.4 liter cars everywhere here for dirt cheap that get 30-40mpg.

not i had a 02' WS6 that i sold to get the 03 Cobra. as far as things look i plan on bringing it and buying a rover or some clunker to DD. I don't think i can part with the car.
any advice or mods reccomended before i ship the car? front license plate needed right? i need to order the mount that doesn't require drilling the front bumper.

If you go with a real MOT guy, Front plate has to be on, stick turn signal indicators on the fenders by the Z28 emblem, daytime running lights will need to moved into you foglights in white, not amber, and our cars wiring for our rear turn signals and brake lights has to be cut up to get passed a real MOT. Im in the middle of getting my Z28 that i bought over there back to factory specs and the wiring has been terribly hacked by the guys on base. Plus they charge something like $220 for the conversion! Now my Trans Am that was there too but never was tinkered with lights wise, is fine and wasnt touched by the,.
Also, when you find out how ridiculously meticulous the MOT is you'll want to use him. Those tests aren't cheap either and you more than likely fail for some bullshit... and when i say bullshit, i mean some low down bullshit where your going to be like "Are you ******* kidding me?" to the MOT tester. Thats test is ******* stupid harsh... to the point it WILL make you irate. Youll learn real fast their test is nothing compared to say california inspectors...
