sooo... i got a question
I am kind of drunk right now.... aside from marines (im guessing infintry, some of which are POGS (riflemen because of basic)) are the majority of people on this board POGS? not to be a dick or antying but the majority of quesions asked by soon to be pogs are answered as the rest of the questions being combat arms are not answered but by very few combat arms army and marines. I used to be POG converted to combat arms. Just curiosity... No shame in being a POG, I will not lie, I thoguht about re-classing again until they said no because I was on assigment.

Depends on the definition of POG, if we were to take the acronym literally, I would be a POG. If we take "grunt" to mean anyone who goes out and gets into fights, I am not a POG.
Why would you assume that Marines aren't POGs? Because they are the big bad Marine Corps? They have their share of fobbits just like everyone else.

I wasn't trying to stir up a rivalry thread. I used to be in a non-combat arms job in the Navy. I was simply asking if the majority of the people in the military on the board are non-combat arms. Just a thought I had lastnight while I was drunk. It seems that when questions come about on the administrative side of things they are always answered and with plenty of replies. On the other side, if a question comes about a combat arms job or situation that there are only a few responses.

I don't know what is worse, going out into the **** and dodging rounds and IEDs, or running behind the wire as sitting ducks while 81mm mortars and RPGs are blowing up tents and throwing your buddies around, and then do you get to go to a rocket bunker, hell no!! You have to go arm, launch, and configure aircraft to get those ********, and where are these aircraft, right where these ********* are trying to land everything they have. If you ever see yourself in this situation, watch where they walk their mortars to. Either way, you're in the ****, POG or Grunt, suck on that! You keep them ******** away from the base, and I'll keep the Cobras and Hueys loaded to save your ***.
