Im glad I didnt have to do that in the Navy. We ran 3 miles MAX with no hiking or backpacking. But it was like -10 degrees most of the time up in Chicago. I would say get ready for them hikes with those bags more than anything. My boy Jay(ls1ricekiller) got out of bootcamp and said the hikes were probably worse than the runs.
Obviously he cant read this is he is already gone hahaha.

Well.... The OP should be neck deep in hell right about now, eh?? I couldn't do the USMC Stuff either.. I was CE in USAF for 6 years and that was like a day job with a bit more political BS and PT.. And the yearly trip to the sane box for 6 months.

^ It's probably a way different set of guidelines for promotion. In the AF we had to test on a AF and Job knowledge. It's relatively difficult to make rank in the AF, but it also takes a lot to lose it.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing but respect for the ground troops and will support all branches until the day I lay cold in the ground. Sometimes I wish I had joint the Army instead, but my back may have gone out a bit earlier.
