Hope This Helps
The MGIB AD is designed for active duty and veterans to help with education costs. The bill provides up to 3 years or 36 months of education benefits. The education costs provide assistance for:
College, Business, Technical, or Vocational Courses
Distance learning including Correspondence Courses
Certification Tests
Apprenticeship/Job Training (Veterans and Reserve only)
Flight Training
The GI bill currently provides up to $1,004 a month to cover education benefits. This provides a total benefit of over $36,144. The benefits for the bill are increasing every year, but only last up to 10 years after you separate from the military.

You are eligible for the MGIB AD if you:

Are Honorably Discharged. "General" discharges don't qualify for MGIB or VEAP.
Have completed High School or have an equivalency certificate you apply for benefits.
Have served at least 2 years on active duty.

Additional $600
I signed up for paying an additional $600 to my already $1,200 GI Bill.
I pay $40 a month for 15 months, up untill a couple months before i get out (about a year from now) I don't know what extra benefits i get. As posted up top someone said an extra $4,500? $600 for $4,500 sounds good. $150 a month would make it out to $5,400. So does that mean $1,150 a month? now are those semester months only? sep - dec jan-may? so it would work out to be 9 months a year X 4 year degree = 36 months? Makes sense.
