I fly on C-130's if that counts for anything. Im a loadmaster so i ride in the back and make fun of the pilots for the most part, thats where most of the action is anyway.

Definitly go to the Peoria ANG. It's a pretty sweet gig, my buddy is going for a Nav slot there, seems like a decent group of people. Plus Peoria isn't that bad to live in compared to some places, and you can always trip on over to U of I and party.

I'm not quite a military pilot. yet. I'm just about to join the Air National Gaurd. One of my good friends just got hired flying F-16's in Montgomery which is where I'll be. I'll be in Life Support. My oldest brother will be flying CD-130's back home in MN. He is currently at Laughlin AFB flying the T-6. Another friend of mine just got a job flying KC-10's out of McGwire I think. My father is retired, but was a C-140 and C-5 captin, currently flying A330's for Northwest. As for myself, I'm almost done with my instrument rating here at Auburn University. Looking to go military for sure tho.

I cant touch that but 1500 hours in 3 years on a KC 135 and over 75 combat sorties, and 250 combat hours, you name it in the AF and i've refueled it, and i agree with roadrage1 not one pilot can get anywhere without a 135 or 10 dragging them along, N.K.A.W.T.G (no-one kicks *** without tanker gas) dont forget it.

I am also a Boomer from McGuire on the KC-10. What squadron you from? I am working on my degree for OTS and then a pilot spot a year or so down the road. I am hoping for B-1's. Chances are if you have an F-body here, I have probably already talked to you.

Hey John, I'm coming up there in June through the 4th of July. You gonna be around? Would love to stop in while I'm there, since the primary reason for the visit is for the wife's family but I ain't got nothin' to do while I'm there.

Could have been an NFO here, with a 9 on the FOFAR and an 8 AQR. However, my eyes are getting progressively worse and I wanted to be a pilot, so I'll settle for "just being an engineer". Good luck to all of you in flight school.

My pops was a military pilot. 21 years USAF.

WSO ~5 years - F-4 WW

Pilot ~16 years - Started out in F-111s, then got selected as a Bandit with the F-117 program, his "cover" story was he was flying A-7s. Got back from the Gulf, and got stuck behind a desk at Langley. Then he got lucky and got back into the jockey seat of the F-15E and thats where he finished out his career.

Now he's a First Officer with Delta, flying 757s out of Atlanta.
