I hope to never go there again...Been to Korea 3 times in the last 4yrs. I was stationed at Kunsan AB, frequently making my way to Osan for shopping. then for 2 deployments with the Stealth. Fun times, tho.

I will admit that the only things that I'll miss besides friends and how cheap it is to shop around the Songtan area is Soju and all the Non American/Non Korean Women that you meet from playin' Rugby...hahahahahaha... I'll be heading to Beale from here, Korea isn't too bad imo but it all depends on what kind of stuff you're into.

So...i take it that you work U2's? Very true...i think of it as a break from reality, really. Cuz, you can't drive, don't have the wife or girlfriend nagging ya to clean the house. Can drink mass amounts of Soju, and pass out in the dorm day rooms. hehe...

I just had my TMO Briefing and they told that we weren't allowed to put that in our shipment. But what I'm thinkin' and I need to find out more info about this is if we could ship Soju back to the States through Fed Ex or the Post Office. If I'm not able to do neither one of those, I guess I'll just carry two Combat Soju Bottles with me onto the Plane and once those are finished I guess I'll have to switch over to drinkin' Everclear...hahaha

yes you can send it back fed ex....easiest way to get around everything would be send home some minks and throwback's and just happen to put some bottles in with that.....along with your carryon oh and label it a novelty item on your customs form

do it like Rons said above, and nobody gets hurt...hehe...and of course throw some in your back pack...Hell, last yrs deployment to Kunsan, we brought back 6 cases of the stuff. Too bad it's all gone...I could go for some Soju Screwdrivers, or Grape soju Slushies...

Ammo bowl....aw man...don't remind me

Osan was fun for about 3 weeks, the other 49 were a nightmare. Did enjoy living off base though...a nice, decrepit little respit from teh daily grind.

I did 2 years in Korea (yongsan,K-16 and back to yongsan) In one word...LOVE IT!!! I couldn't extend on time, and I end up in the hood (hate it with passion!) I had to reenlist, just to go back to the K. My brother is going to keep my Z. I'm thinking about AIP and stay 3 years...I'm going to miss my Z....
