I dont think the new one is bad but damn, they say strong and strength about 42,321 times in about 2 minuites. The first time I heard it me and my girl just look at one another, like what the hell was that? Then laughed for about 5 minuites

I like it... It's got the Army Core Values written all over it.. It seems to portray teamwork, dedication to duty, and Honor.

Now in the AF, you can take all that same stuff, but put the word 'Heritage' in place of 'Warrior'. All that in spite of the fact that its the youngest of the armed forces.

I'm just waiting for some crazy general to call us all 'A$$ Clowns'. Then we could have A$$ Clown Morning PT, A$$ Clown Uniforms, A$$ Clown Power Point Presentations.

But the best part of having a new ad campaign is having new ad campaign parodies. Here's a classic:

Strangely enough, I actually kinda like the AF's "Do Something Amazing" campaign. Its just a short video of a guy doing a job. Of course, you don't get to see all the paperwork and obligatory blathering that needs to be done beforehand, but its better than what has come before.

What pisses me off is that they spent almost 200 MILLION on this freaking add campaign and I cant even get new ACUs over here in Iraq because we are so short on money.

Cant watch the video because the net is so slow but can we just stick to one damn slogan?? A damn commercial isnt going to get people to walk into the recruiting station and want to talk about joining. Just my thoughts on it.

I came in during the be all you can be era. The beginning of it probably not sure. I joined in 1987. This new crap has got to go. It doesn't work and the people they are gettin now. Sweet mother of God. Just shoot some of them it would make our job easier. I spend 90% of my time with 1% of the soldiers I have. The guys that deserve my attention don't get it. Its sad.

I just noticed the armed forces section so I figured I would post in here a little.

I'm not too sure about this whole "Army Strong" thing, I remember that I was pissed when they started the "Army of One" thing since when I joined it was "Be all that you could be", and I rarely remember training to do anything as an individual, after a while people were saying it was more about working as one...

And a comment to the guy who thinks of the military as a last resort, this just isn't so as some others already stated, I have been out for more then 6, almost 7, years now. I went back to school after getting out and started my career in 2003, and for the past little while I have been thinking of going back in, however that has recently changed to thinking of going reserve, but we'll see. It is hard to explain but for some it is a calling with something inside driving you forward, and when your out you want that back. The Army values are something that you use and respect through out you life in or out of service, but at time it is hard to be around others without that set of core values driving them.

I make good money in the civilian world, and almost double my parents income, but I was willing to give that up to go back in as lower enlisted (E3) just because the Army is where my heart is. Now my wife on the other hand was more interested in me looking into the reserves, I just need to loose some more weight before going to the recruiter...
