"deployed" to kadena - anyone here? yep, im over here at kadena on the "deployment" of the f-22's from langley, so i was wonderin if anyone's over here? this is my second time back - the first time being a 2yr pcs back in '03-'05.
just figured it'd be cool to meet up with some f-bod folks who might be over here, or on some installation on this island. if not, disregard this post, an ill feel pretty dumb.

I was over in Okinawa a couple of years ago in '03 but I was stationed up in Jungle Warfare Training Center (JWTC). You guys in the Air Force sure do have it nice at Kadena, a hell of a lot nicer than us Marines do.

yea, i was actually here in '03-'05, an now im back for a few months. but yea, ill agree - we got it great over here on kadena. sucks that they got the friggin curfew rules 
but its cool they gave everyone on the AEF a silver card...so im cool

I am RIGHT there! I am stationed with the seabees over at camp shields. Except I am a fleet rate (ET). I just went to kadena today. Played some golf. You dont have a vehicle over here with you do you? Holla sometime. I'll be down to probably do something.

My father was there about two years ago, liked it minus the heat and having the fill the tub with drinking water when the Typhoon came.
Did like how you could go to the lemon lots and get a car cheap or free lol.

lol well, at least ur supportin the base ur dad was at and yes, i loved the fact that i culd go to the lemon lot an pick up a skyline for wut....4k? obviously an r33 st, but skyline, nonetheless.
93camaro - u wanna meet up sometime? we dont have cars, since its pointless coz they wont let us drive off-base anyways, unless its to eating establishments, and even then, we still have to have an e-6 or above drive. on-base, however, we can ask one of the techs for their car, an if they havent already loaned it out, then they usually give it up. so we can drive on-base, but thats it. off-base = taxi or walk looks like ill be droppin a few pounds..
but yea man, lets meet up sometime..i work swings, so if u can meet up before 2:30, then thats cool. otherwise, we culd probably try to work somethin out. pm meh or keep up with this thread if u wanna do somethin.
