Sweet, I was talking to you at the cruise two weeks ago. I am the one with the red SS with Ultra Z hood and the family in NC. I have Brian tapped for my build as well for the LS7. Now if the admin section would just get the damn $10K bonus to hit it would be just great.

So I was told. I re-upped in Oct, but since it took until Feb to get that $10K thing approved. I was on leave in conjunction with orders so my old unit couldn't run it. Then the school house waited until ALL of the guys needing to re-up to get done and THEN submitted them all at one time. This happened about a little over two weeks ago, so hopefully May one will be the magic. That coupled with the FSA will be nice.

To prevent anything unfavorable from happening, ensure that everything you are promised is in writing. Also, remember that your job choices (MOS's) will be limited to your scores on the ASVAB. Lastly, with a family of that size I could not recommend you becoming an 03. As honorable an MOS as it is, you will undoubtedley spend more time away than at home and if God forbid something should happen to you, you'll be leaving a whole lot behind.

2100 is the ordnance field, ie. AAV mechanic, LAV mechanic, machinists, armorers and the best job (2146) tank mechanic. Gives you the ground side, but with so few spots available for deployment keeps you home if you want. You MIGHT do two deployments for a four year contract, but if you want you could end up doing only one or three (if you volunteer).

Topfig1-One of my old SgtMaj's was in Beirut as well. (about 6'5"ish, white country guy from Arkansas, can't remember his name, MCAS Camp Pen H&HS back in 2004-2005 when I was attached to them) My dad works with a guy, first name is Bud, that was in Beirut too.
