Al Asad is a pretty nice base. You'll want to buy a bike though. It's a pretty good distance everywhere depending on where you live. Don't eat too much of the fast food..I tried it a couple of times and didn't do it again. The gym across the creek from the firing range is badass..rivals some gyms I've been in back in the states.
BigT-what do you do?
Coy-What do you fly? I'm ARFF, maybe you can hook the guys up in Al Asad with an aircraft check out? I'm sure they could compensate you for your time with some tshirts. If you ever have to come through TQ feel free to stop by the station.

Hero's gym on this base is pretty damn huge I'll give it that. I stay to the southside though, not as much grunting going on there

Ah Ramadi...I miss that place in a weird way. I tried to get back there last week but they sent me here to TQ.
If anyone sees me at the chow hall stop by and we'll b.s. about cars or something. I'm the 6 foot tall bald white guy with tattoos sitting amongst the rest of the firefighters.

If you're not grunting, you're not lifting enough. I hate "***** gyms."
Sgt0704- I worked in the crack house back in late '05. When the Marine ARFF still had their dispatch up top. I'm with WSI now. Is the Bada Bing still up and running?
