BOP Stateside or Overseas.... I can't decide.. Too many varyables!
I know.. It SHOULD be a no brainer.. But Listen to my reasoning first before you answer. BTW: I have a truck, the Camaro and a 4 wheeler. I am UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SELLING THE CAR!!!!
Crosstraining and re enlisting. AGE, most likely.
IF I stay stateside: Preferably an AMC Base.. Name a couple decent ones for me..
-I'm trying to build an engine for the car.
-I won't take the car overseas (Italy), I'll take the truck and the 4 wheeler.
-Overseas: You can only have one car overseas unless you're married
-Stateside: You can have more then 1 car if you're married or single
-I want a house w/ a garage
-My parents are moving to California: My car is in NO WAY Street legal out there Unless I get a waver for a "race car" registration. I don't think they can watch my car like they did before. My car was never equipped for CA Emissions.
-I'll have 14 more years to get back overseas. I was stationed in Germany for 2 years.
IF I get a BOP To Camp Darby Italy:
-I'll take the truck and the 4 wheeler and find somewhere to keep the car stateside.
-4 Wheelers are street legal in Italy (My buddy JUST came from Camp Darby).
-IT'S ITALY!!
-My father will prolly take the car thru a auto BRUSH wash like he did before.
-More $$ to save for car parts.
-get a BADASS European house!
-I was already stationed in Germany for 2 years and I MISS Europe!
-BOP's are hard to come by..
Now you see why I can't make up my mind? ??

I didn't think you were allowed to BOP to an overseas location. I was told stateside only when I put in my BOP, which was quickly disapproved due to being vulnerable for overseas short tour......Korea here I come!

+1 on going back overseas... I'd definitely choose to go overseas unless you have other goals such as buying a house or other things of that nature. Just go overseas, have some fun while saving money for go fast parts and come back to the states 2 years later but make sure you're stationed some where that doesn't have strict :coughCaliforniacough: emissions unless you're definitely okay with registering your car as non-op.

You can't apply for an overseas base BOP. Only stateside. Been there, done that.

As much as I love going overseas, there's alot of things about the States that I miss too much when overseas, which is why I've been CONUS most of my career.
Sorta like what Vincent Vega said in Pulp Fiction, "It's the little things you notice". Those little things are the things I miss about the States when I'm away from it.
Although, if I have to go overseas again, Germany or Italy wouldn't be bad.

So it's Macdill AFB and Scott... I was almost set on Scott AB anyway... My buddy is there now and he likes it.. well, any thing's better than Holloman. THis place could suck the spirit out of Jesus himself. This base has done nothing but try to f**k me since I got here. On top of breaking my spirit.. bad leadership. TRYING to stay positive here.
Hurricanes at Macdill?? I don't know about all that hot humidity, tho..

Well if you decide to go overseas, id be more then happy to watch your car for you. Whats even better is im in alamogordo so you can just drop it right off. (im kidding, ok not really) Seriously though, havent been overseas other then iraq and kuwait so cant say about that. If i was in your shoes id probaly try and find a nice base stateside so i can keep all my cars with me.

If he falls thru^^ put me next in line. I would go oversea's, but that is me you can always come back to the states and you will probably never to go live in Italy for a few years and have someone pay to get you there. Besides you could meet a nice Italian girl there!
