Look around, there's usually F body gatherings all over Fayettenam. They used to hang out at Raeford in the Advance Auto parking lot, not sure if they still do.

latey ive seen alot of Mustangs that are alright but sound badass im here at the AIT building and i was wondering if anyone knew who owned the black mustang with silver stripes and the red one with black stripes and mach1 rims

Hey fella's its been a while but im around 90 days from being home. Right now my car is Engine / Tranny less but the work has started, it should be runing and ready to go when I get home.... I SO CANT WAIT
We so need to start a meeting spot so we can start this F-body sence right. Get a good following and then start crusing. Drive by the ricers at BWW and get them to come and play.

Still here but only 28 more days....woohooo 
repeat...
My car will be there the same day I get in, Motor is almost assembled and tranny was already purchased. The car curently has an LS6 in her belly which is going into a jeep to make a rock crawler.... a big one at that.
So I will be home soon and be looking for some stuff to do during the week, weekend will be pretty full catching up with my wife, though there will be times for crusing on some weekends too.

Well, i just found out that when i return from this deployment in march next year, ill be PCS'ing to Bragg.... there sending my tired old *** to jump school.... anyways, iv been in hawaii without a track for the past 3 years, so the brand new LME 408 is DYING to stretch its legs, cant wait to get to the track. See you guys soon.

whats the deal with the area around bragg? it sounds like a real **** hole. i've been wanting to apply for an assignment over there in the next year or two but the area sounds more dangerous than the job.

Fayetteville is usually referred to as the armpit of North Carolina. I've been here for about 6 years now (Pope AFB). It's not that bad. But I don't spend too much time in Fayetteville. I live in a pretty nice housing development north of Fayetteville. It takes me 20 minutes to get in the hanger on base to work, 20 minutes to downtown Fayetteville, and about 50 minutes to Raleigh. The male - female ratio is like 10-1...but I havn't done too bad.

Zeus has it nailed. If you are looking to hook up with a chick, you have to go anywhere but in the 'nam unless you don't mind one that is a skank and/or has several kids and is on welfare. Been there done that.
They do have a track that is so-so. Lots of places to eat. But lots of slime *****, shady businesses (looking to rape the military) and discourteous people. Traffic is bad too. Lots of bars and clubs but no real attractions. Bragg is said to be one of the best places to hunt deer.
I just did PCS from Pope after an 8.5 year over extended tour there.
Zeus I'm surprised you haven't gotten orders out of Pope yet.

whats in like a hour radius around there? from what i understood they have to be on stand by and if they get called theres a fast response time so you dont want to live that far away. know what i mean.

Fayetteville's is NOT that bad. There are bad parts of town just like anywhere else. I've lived here almost ten years. Just stay away from those places and you'll be fine. There are lots of shittier places to be stationed.

Spent 14 years there. If you're looking for chicks, it's best to go to the small towns away from nam. For a couple of years I lived in Laurinburg with a buddy. About a 40 minute drive to work. We had more girls than we knew what to do with. Hell, the chicks in those towns go to nam on the weekends to hook up with gi's, so if you actually have a pad in those towns you are good to go. If I see a sign with fayetteville city limit again I think I'll slice my wrists. Half the town is retired military. How someone can make the decision to live there forever is beyond me.

It's a bit of a bump but, I'm PCSing to bragg before the end of the month. How's the scene lookin for F-body's? Any good shops or bad shops I need to know about? Probably doing C/I here pretty soon, anyone got a shop they recommend to do the mods plus a tune and dyno?
