My team is here to fly the small Raven UAV. It's pretty cool. Here are some pics.

Pred was always our friends out there. Our CCT guy was ******' **** up constantly! We played with the raven too, but not as much as we got pred support. Here's some pics:

i wouldnt want to be security forces but being a Raven would be a kick *** job, they are on the planes all the time

I'm not a certified "Raven" but we support Raven missions here all the time. I hate it.

FYI for those who don't know, a RAVEN is trained in aircraft security as in cockpit denial or security at some FOB in the middle of nowhere.

Raven is also the name of the small UAV. AF people always get confused with those.

wait wait. So does that mean you're like observers *in* planes? Or just fly the UAV's?

oh ok, gotcha, i wouldnt mind being a Raven (acft guard) but i dont want to be security forces (no offense to anyone who is SF)

If you just fly remote controlled planes I think it's pretty damn gay you all wear flight suits. :rofl:

We just wear them when we go outside the wire. They mandated them because they are flame resistant.

I've spent 98% of all my deployments outside the wire and I don't wear a nomex flight suit. Besides it looks like all those pictures were taken INSIDE the wire.

Still think it's gay you wear flight suits. The range on those things are less than 15K, I know because we had to pay some afghanis to get ours back after we lost signal and it crashed in Kandahar.

That is kind of hard to do. If they lose link, they come back to where they started. It is all GPS based.
